Our guide will start the tour on-site in the mythical Latin Quarter, one of the most atmospheric neighborhoods of the city. Home of writers and scholars, this vibrant and eclectic neighborhood is old Paris at its best. Join us as we walk in the footsteps of Hemingway and the iconic writers and poets of the Lost Generation, and discover winding cobbled streets, quirky bookshops, lively cafés and much more!

Stop At: Notre-Dame, Notre-Dame, Paris, Ile-de-France
We’ll walk to the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral and learn of her rich history. Her construction began in 1163, and her medieval builders and architects not only produced the world’s first gothic cathedral; their mastery ensured she is still standing today. Hear about the fire that ravaged her in 2019, and witness the ongoing renovations as she is slowly brought back to life by some of the most skilled craftsmen and women in the country. You’ll also learn of the heated debates here in France over her reconstruction and get some insider information on what the future may hold for her!

We’ll stroll around the lovely Ile de la Cité together, down quaint side streets and along the gorgeous riverbanks of the Seine, much beloved of local Parisians as a favorite picnic spot. You’ll also discover the captivating Ile St Louis, a tiny island located just behind Notre Dame and a world away from the bustle of the city (as well as being home to one of the best ice-cream makers in Paris!) If we’re lucky we may get to peep inside one of the courtyards of the magnificent townhouses, once home to royal courtiers and now some of the most expensive real estate in the city.
