Stop At: Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Rouen, 3 rue Saint Romain, 76000, Rouen France

Rollo, the Viking Leader and the founder of the Duchy of Normandy, was baptised here in 915 and buried in 932. His grandson, Richard I, further enlarged it in 950. St. Romain’s tower was built in 1035. The buildings of Archbishop Robert II were consecrated in 1065

Stop At: Eglise Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc, Place du Vieux-Marche, 76000, Rouen France

The church of Saint Joan of Arc was built in 1979 in the center of the ancient market square known as the Place du Vieux-Marché. This is the place where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake for heresy in 1431.

Stop At: Honfleur, Honfleur, Calvados, Basse-Normandie, Normandy

The port houses were painted by famous painters as Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Jongkind. They formed the school of Honfleur which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement.
