The Covered Passages of Paris are a hidden treasure of the city—an early form of the shopping arcade built in the first half of the 19th century. Once numbering around 183, only 25 of these architectural gems have survived Baron Haussmann’s renovations. On this tour, we’ll explore six of the most charming and historically rich passages, making it an especially great option for rainy days. Since their inception, the passages have served as hubs of social life, commerce, and cultural exchange. As we wander through these stunning spaces, you’ll learn the fascinating stories behind them—and after taking in the culinary delights of Passage des Panoramas, you may be tempted to return for lunch! We will stop to see the most Instagrammed spots in Paris!

After the first few covered passages, we will take a quick walk to the beautifully tiled floors of Galerie Vivienne, with the high glass ceilings!

We continue thru and will pass in the old Bourse (stock Exchange) on our way to the Passage des Panoramas. You'll want to come back for lunch when we finish!

Following the tasty passage treats you will see the entertaining Passage Jouffroy who shares walls with Musee Grevin and still houses a historic hotel were more than just a famous composer lived.

We will continue passed the toys and canes to Passage Verdeau. Leaving you here to contemplate re visiting any passage that held special appeal or walk to Gallery Layettes for a different kind of shopping!
