Stop At: Atomium Square Laeken, Brussels 1020 Belgium

Constructed for the Expo in 1958, the Atomium is a building which was constructed exclusively for the Brussels World Fair. Designed by Andre Waterkeyn, an engineer and architects Andre and Jean Polak this structure is 102 metres tall. The structure I made out of stainless steel has nine, 18 meter diameter steel spheres which are connected in such a manner that they form the shape of a unit cell id an iron crystal which has been magnified 165 billion times.

Stop At: Town Hall (Hotel de Ville), Grand-Place, Grote Markt 1 Grand-Place, Grote Markt, Brussels 1000 Belgium

The Brussels Town Hall is located on the famous Grand Place in the city and is housed in an impressive Gothic building dating back to the middle ages. Overlooked by tourists this beautiful Napolean III style palace is definitely a must visit when in Brussels.

Stop At: Place Royale, Brussels 1000 Belgium

In the heart of Brussels lies the Place Royale, a square of historic importance. Emblematic of Louis XVI style of architecture, the square is famed for the uniformity of its architecture. Constructed on the site of the previous Palace of Coudenberg, the Place Royale is perched on a hill which ensures gorgeous views of the city.

The Mannekin Pis is a landmark of sorts in Brussels and is a fountain depicting a little boy urinating into the base of the fountain. There are many legends behind this fountain and one of them is that a man visiting Brussles lost his son in the city and upon finding him with the help of the locals gifted this fountain to them.

Stop At: Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert, Galerie du Roi 5, 1000 Brussel, Belgium

The Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert is a glass-enclosed shopping arcade in Brussels that preceded other 19th century shopping galleries such as the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan and the Passage in Saint Petersburg.

Stop At: Grand Place Brussels Main Square, Brussels 1000 Belgium

Outside visit. The Grand-Place is the central square of Brussels. Known worldwide for its ornamental wealth, it is surrounded by the guild houses, the town hall and the Casa del Rey. It is considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. The Grand-Place in Brussels was inscribed in 1998 on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
