What to Expect When Visiting Nice, Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, France

During this trip, – departure from Nice, or the surrounding area, –  it takes two hours to drive to the Var department in Provence, we schedule a morning visit to one of the known Provençal winemaking properties. The Tasting Cellar – ( La Cave ) – in french. An introduction to the estate, visit of the property and, of course, a tasting session. Taste their wines, and see how different blends are organized in the cellar. Perfect amount of sun, wind and rain ensure slow and optimal grape ripening. Impoverished stony soils, proportions of sand, chalky terroir can often be reserved for the finest vintages, where yields are limited and favorable in producing zesty rosés. Grape varietals used in blends can be: Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Sémillon, Ugni-Blanc, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Rolle and Mourvèdre.  

Following this wine tasting, prepare yourself for the outstanding taste of Truffles, white / or black, in one exceptional provencal restaurant specialized in truffles.

Gourmet restaurant, the prices vary from 80 € to 200 € per menu per person, not including wine or beverages.
