Stop At: Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde, Rue Fort-du-Sanctuaire, 13281 Marseille France

This is the highest viewing point over the city and the sea. The cathedral provides 360 degree vistas over the city and not to be missed. Likewise the interior of the Basilique is a treasure of Byzantine architecture. It’s also the location where the American forces liberated the city in 1944.
