Jutting into the Mediterranean Sea, it is made up of steep, rocky shores dominated by the western end of the Soubeyranes cliffs. The latter constitute the highest maritime cliffs in France (before those of Étretat and Cap Blanc-Nez) with a maximum altitude of 394 meters[1], as well as the fourth highest in Europe
