Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Les Thermes d’Argeles-Gazost, Rue Adrien Hebrard, 65400 Argeles-Gazost France

The little “Pau”. I suggest you start the tour with a photo stop in the pretty spa town of Argelès-Gazost, renowned for its microclimate and located 10 minutes from Lourdes by car. This charming little town of 4000 inhabitants underwent a tremendous transformation in the 19th century thanks to the genius of a local child, Hector Sassère. Like its neighbor, the city of Pau, Argelès-Gazost could quickly be proud of its English-style park, its casino, its Grand Hotel d’Angleterre and its luxury villas.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Abbaye de Saint-Savin-en-Lavedan, 65400 Saint-Savin France

We will continue our tour with a visit to the village of Saint Savin located 15 minutes by car from Lourdes.
Former Castrum, the village of Saint-Savin rests on a promontory in balcony above the valley of Lavedan, which constitutes one of the most beautiful panoramas of the valley. Its 12th century abbey church, which depended on a Benedictine monastery, and its 15th century Pietat chapel, are both classified as historical monuments.
We will visit this small village so cherished by its inhabitants and will leave to discover its wash-houses, its fountains and traditional houses.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Cirque de Gavarnie, 65120 Gavarnie France

We will then set off to explore the famous site of Gavarnie, whose origin of the village dates back to the Middle Ages, when the order of the Knights of Saint-Jean-de-Jerusalem founded a Hospital there (place of reception of pilgrims). on one of the secondary roads of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle.
But the fame of Gavarnie was especially built in the XIXth century thanks to the “Pyrenees”, who, passionate about mountain, botany, geology, but also very sensitive to the beauty of the landscapes and keen on traditions and legends, contributed to the development of a very varied scientific literature on the Pyrenees.
If the heart and the legs tell you, we will take the path along the river to the meadow (Prade Saint-Jean), from where we can admire more closely the splendor of the Gavarnie circus, classified as a heritage natural and cultural heritage of UNESCO.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Luz-Saint-Sauveur, Luz-Saint-Sauveur, Hautes-Pyrenees, Occitanie

On the way back, we will make a stop in Toy Country, in the valley of “light”. More exactly, we will visit the small town of Luz-Saint-Sauveur, its fortified church known as the “Templars” and the “Napoleon Bridge”, the secrets of which we will unravel once there.
