From your hotel in Caen and its surroundings. The city is liberated on June 20, 1944.

Stop At: Pointe du Hoc, 14450 Cricqueville-en-Bessin France

The American rangers will seize the tip of the Hoc, a cliff thirty meters high, to neutralize powerful German guns supposed to be installed in blockhouses. Today, the site presents the remains of the German battery and the deep traces of the fierce battles that took place there.

Stop At: Omaha Beach, Avenue de la Liberation, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer France

This is the beach where the Allies lost the most troops, which earned him the nickname “Bloody Omaha” (Omaha, the bloody).
