This private tour of the American D-Day beaches is suitable for a maximum of seven passengers. As it is private, you will experience the Normandy battlefields without having to share with other clients.

The departure time for a private tour is flexible but the recommended departure time is between 8:30 am and 9:30 am to allow ample time to visit the D-Day sites.

The main sites you will visit are:

La Cambe German Cemetery – Situated just under 6 miles from where American forces landed on Omaha Beach, this cemetery is a stark reminder of the terrible price the Germans paid during the heavy fighting on D-day and the subsequent inland battles.Sainte Mere Eglise – an objective for 82nd Airborne Paratroopers dropping into Normandy in the early hours of June 6th, 1944.Utah Beach – The American 4th Division under the command of Theodore Roosevelt Jr was tasked with assaulting this section of the Normandy coastline.Pointe Du Hoc – The task of silencing this formidable gun battery was given to American Rangers. Their job was not an easy one as the site is protected by almost 100 feet of sheer cliff. To silence the battery, they would first need to cross the English Channel and then climb this natural obstacle before attacking the position.Omaha Beach – The 4.2 miles of coastline that is now referred to as Omaha Beach was assaulted at 06:30 on D-Day morning by American Rangers, the 29th Infantry Division and the 1st Infantry Division.Normandy American CemeteryAs this is a private tour, the schedule can be re-arranged to include other sites that you prefer or your guide can also include time for a museum visit.

Your hotel pick-up can be arranged from Bayeux or smaller towns nearby.
