Eze is a seaside commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in Southeastern France. It is located on the French Riviera, 8.5 km to the northeast of Nice and 4.5 km to the west of Monaco. Monte Carlo Casino was built in 1893 by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House. For more than a century, its stage has been the setting for international operatic creations, prestigious concerts, and exceptional ballets. Its series of “Gaming Rooms” are marvellously decorated with stained glass windows, sculptures, and allegorical paintings.
