Along the way, I’ll share the juicy details behind Newport’s palatial ”summer cottages” as you gaze at their impressive designs. I’ll also introduce you to the architects who designed them and the staff that kept these homes running despite harsh working conditions and low pay.
You’ll hear about the impact that the sinking of Titanic had on the owners of the Miramar Mansion, and how it took 36 staff members to look after Mable House, a holiday home used for only eight weeks of the year.
This hour-long stroll takes you behind the scenes to discover the personalities that built today’s Newport.
Glasgow through the ages: An audio tour discovering the city's humble beginnings

Join me on this self guided audio tour through the oldest part of Glasgow.
We’ll start at Glasgow Cathedral, where we’ll meet St Mungo, the city’s patron saint, and learn about Glasgow’s humble beginnings 1,500 years ago. We’ll bustle along Glasgow’s High Street next, where a small city had started to take shape 900 years later, in the 1400s. It was busy with the thousands of pilgrims who came to worship at the shrine of St Mungo. In the 1700s, there were Tobacco Lords on the High Street, and Glasgow had become “the cleanest and beautifulest and best built city in Britain,” according to one English visitor. (He did add, “London excepted,” but in Glasgow we like to forget about that.)
On the way, you’ll see:
A herb garden filled with medicinal plants
Street art that tells the story of the city
A roundabout on which stands the steeple of a building once used as a prison
A greenhouse of exotic plants in the shape of an upside down ship

Walking through ages: 11th to 21st century, Prague flavoured

Rated 5 Stars, based on 2 Reviews.
A walking tour through Prague’s four main squares (Hradčany, Lesser Town, Old Town, and Wenceslas) takes you through centuries, from the 11th to the 21st. Prague is called the "heart of Europe" for a reason—many events that shook the continent, like the Reformation and the 30 Years' War, began here. It has seen both glory, as the capital of the Holy Roman Empire and young Czechoslovakia, and decline, as a mere city of Austro-Hungary. Its medieval churches, baroque palaces, and Bauhaus quarters hold memories of it all.
For centuries, Prague was a crossroads of German, Jewish, and Czech cultures. Golem was created here; Doctor Faust lived here. More recently, it’s linked to Mozart, Kafka, and Milos Forman.
On our walk, you'll see Prague’s most iconic sights and explore its history, architecture, and culture. I look forward to our conversation—whether about medieval history, food, or nightlife, I’ll guide you.

Sin and the City — Kings Cross Golden Age Walking History Tour

Rated 5 Stars, based on 9 Reviews.
This History Tour has been curated by heritage professionals to uncover the notorious secrets, stories & scandals of Kings Cross — Sydney's historic red-light strip.
Once a bourgeois neighbourhood boasting harbour-side mansions & Victorian villas, this bustling pocket of Sydney was transformed by bohemia, entertainment & modernist architecture during the roaring 1920's Jazz Age. Amidst the sparkling lights of its inter-war years, The Cross also became riddled with backstreet bordellos, sly-grog stores, razor-wielding gangs, crime-lords (and ladies), murders, mysteries & martinis.
By the 1960s, the streets teamed with revellers visiting its red-light strip of neon fantasies, nightclubs & local eccentrics — dubbed in the media as 'Sin City'. Crime and corruption continued as new heavyweights such as The Boss of The Cross took the reigns, and by 1975 the neighbourhood was embroiled in one of Sydney's most scandalous cold-case murder mysteries.
Uncover this unique story in style!

Lisbon From the 1755 Tsunami to the Age of Tourism – Private walking tour

Rated 5 Stars, based on 2 Reviews.
This tour offers a perfect introduction to the "infamous" 1755 earthquake – a time machine style of ride that will make you zig zag through the memories of a city stuck by a dreadful natural disaster. This is not virtual reality, but the true intimate experience of a city where everything is before or after 1755.
The Portuguese capital was the most stunning city in Europe during the Maritime Discoveries era, which started in the early 15th century. However, on November 1, 1755 this cosmopolitan city was ravaged by a hideous earthquake, followed by a tsunami – the first such event fully documented in modern European history. The city lost no time looking back and just a couple of years later started the herculean task of its own resurrection, rebuilding from scratch the Downtown and the surrounding area. In this tour we explore and compare a selection of amazing Medieval buildings that survived with the majestic Rational city planned and rebuilt after the tragedy.
