Sophie is a Venetian taxi made specifically for us in 2024, elegant, streamlined, with mahogany strip interiors and leather cushions, special for the summer period and perfect for the winter with the heated passenger cabin. For those who want to indulge in a unique and unforgettable experience, our captain is at your complete disposal to accommodate every request from customers. We have sun awnings and cover in case of bad weather. On the boat we always have fresh water and other drinks at your disposal. We are the only wooden boat of this size on Lake Como, and we always have 2 crew members, one for the guide, and one as assistance for the guests. The boat is equipped with toilet, shower, refrigerators, open bar service only with high quality products, not a single glass of wine, but excellent Prosecco, etc. We have a large sundeck space in front, a sunbathing space behind, and a covered space. For special needs, we have a bedroom, which is also excellent for resting the children. The boat can sail in any weather condition, with strong winds, with rain in complete peace of mind. This is the classic version of the Sausalito Wooden Boat Tour* which is based on the Sausalito Wooden Boat Tour guide book.  Local author and artist, Victoria Colella brings you into this sequestered world.  Beginning with the Historic Houseboats then a stroll down the Gantry Crane Trail in the World War II Shipyards, exploring local art studios, Wooden Boat Center and into  working waterfront.  Here is where the floating homes are created and big boats are hauled out for repair.  Victoria offers refreshments in the old boat lettering shack in the heart of Sausalito's working waterfront at the end of the tour.  Tour takes about 3 to 3-1/2 hours.  There is free parking, places to rest along the way and 3 restroom stops. *Turn off those cell phones for a minute.  This is strictly analog and reading, dancing and reciting poetry may be required!
