This is an exclusive small group tour combining nature, great landscapes and amazing wines. Travel approximately 30 minutes towards the wine region of Vinalopo from Alicante. You will have a local wine expert and guide from Alicante who will provide information about Alicante and Spain while we travel to the winery. Upon arrival explore the beautiful surroundings of the family run vineyard with your local guide. If you are visiting in harvest season, you might even get to try some grapes! The tour start with the Pick up in your accommodation aboard a luxury mercedes v class minivan with an english speaking driver. From there you will continue towards Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, you will arrive at the Sapienza refuge at 2000m, from there you will visit the Silvestri Craters with a short and easy trek, then you can decide whether to take the cable car up to 2900m at an extra cost of 80 euros per person with a duration of about 2.30h. Afterwards you will continue with the driver towards Oro d'Etna, the home of honey and you will see the lava flow of 1992. The tour continues at the winery, where you will have a wine tasting & light lunch. Finally the driver will take you back to the pick up point. The tasting is accompanied by appetizers and water: – Rhodopean trout with a Muscat; – Vegetables (fresh and dried) from Thrace with a Rosé; – Bulgarian cheese from Plovdiv region with a Merlot; – Lukanka (local salami) from Stara Planina Mountain with a Pamid (the oldest Bulgarian wine variety); – Chocolate sticks with DiVes Sweet wine. Thanks to a perfect combination between a mild climate and a diversified terrain, our region is capable to offer a wide range of excellent wines. From the DOC white wine produced in the area of Locorotondo, Martina Franca and Cisternino to the Primitivo di Manduria, a full-bodied red wine, from the Negroamaro produced in the south of Apulia area called Salento to the Nero di Troia, typical of the northern part of the region, you have an embarrassment of riches in tasting all them!

The cheese and wine pairing is a classic of French gastronomic culture. Break the preconceived ideas and come and try new agreements! Tasting of 4 wines and 4 cheeses commented by our expert!

Enjoy one of the most classic wine tasting of our tradition: wine and cheeses! You'll taste the most unique combinations of our organic Assisi DOC and Umbria IGT wines with cheeses, jams and balsamic vinegar from our farm and local producers. The tasting menu can obviously be modified to satisfy our guests' dietary needs/allergies/intolerance (es. lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian..). In the case of bad weather or it's too cold or hot to stay outside, the tasting will be done inside the tasting room. If you have any special requests do not hesitate to contact us! However we offer on request for a fixed rate from the city center of Spello or the Assisi train station or local hotels .

The tasting of the six wines and their combinations will be presented and served in our equipped and comfortable tasting room, where all our guests, even if spaced and safely, can enjoy a convivial and unique experience! For all those who have particular diets or intolerances, upon notice at the time of booking in the "notes" field, we are able to meet most dietary needs. The price of the tasting includes everything: tasting, water and food pairings. The structure of the Rocca di Montestaffoli does not provide bar service (coffee, tea, soft drinks, spirits, packaged foods, etc.) It is also possible to participate in the tasting with children, for them our staff will prepare a selection of gastronomic excellences at a cost of € 10 per child.Remember that by law it is not possible to administer alcohol to minors.

On the wines and moonshines tour, we will bring you to see where the vines are gorown the old fashion way and why this local white wine "verdelho" is so unique.

I will probably also mention the plague of Sibenik 1649 quite a bit too.
