The tour combines a game drive and a walking safari. It allows the client to be very intimate with nature and draws his/her close to the rhino for better photographing.

This experience takes early with your pickup from your respective Lodge and Hotel, and your transfer to the park, which takes 15-20 minutes. Our pickup starts as early as possible to avoid walking in the heat, which can build up quickly. We advise to wear suitable walking shoes, hats and bush friendly attire. Escort game ranger will be picked to accompany the group and take a short drive to where we will start the walk, you will be provided with a bottle of mineral water for your walk whilst listening to your guide giving a full safety briefing on what you expect to see and the Do's and Don't's whilst walking. – Time For The Walking Safari. The walk last for approximately 3 hours. However a lot of the time will be spent quietly observing the wild and discussion with the guide. You will be walking at a leisurely pace set by your yourselves and you can stop as frequently as you wish, to ask questions and discuss any aspect that particularly interests you. Get 10 meters close to the white rhinos, only with Dewclaw. This short walk is accompanied by game rangers for, this system of two people leading the walk, maintaining the highest possible levels of safety. You will enter the park using a 4X4 game viewer and at certain point you will be requested to get off the vehicle and take a short walk towards the white rhinos.

For those Clients who have limited time, and mainly wish to focus on seeing the magnificent White Rhinos then this is the Tour for them… We take the scenic route in the National park alongside the banks of the River Zambezi and see what animals nature provides is with. Then the concentration is on tracking the White Rhinos , with the help of the Rangers, and getting up close and personal ( within a safe environment ) to get fantastic pictures of these remarkable Rhinos. We then fast track our Clients back along the main tarmac road outside of the Park and back to their accomodation.

The Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve is a privately-owned game reserve covering 1600 hectares. With plenty of game, this is the perfect setting for admiring nature just an hour’s drive outside of Johannesburg. Visitors can expect to view numerous species including lion, white rhino, wild dog, hippo, crocodile, cheetah and numerous antelope species inside an open game drive vehicle. The game drive takes between 1.5 and 2 hours long and depart at various scheduled times. Once booking is made, we will contact you to select a slot.
