This 5-hour 4×4 adventure tour is specially designed for our clients arriving via passenger liner. You will be met & picked up at the Walvis Bay port where your cruise ship will be docking. Before heading out to Sandwich Harbour we first make a stop at the Walvis Bay Lagoon to admire the flamingos and occasionally a great white pelican, flow the Walvis Bay Salt Refiners with all its pink salt lacks. Now we are off to the Nambi Desert -Sandwich Harbour, one of Southern Africa’s richest and unique wetlands. Wedging between the sea and dunes "if tides permit"; if tides forbid, surf the dunes up to the many convenient lookout spots. Lots of time are granted to explore the area as well as photograph opportunities. Finally, enjoy a light picnic lunch with some cold beverages with a natural desert backdrop, then hit the dunes for some more excitement before concluding your adventure to the Kuiseb River Delta, a dry riverbed where you can occasionally see springbok, oryx, or even ostrich.

Pelican Point is a great place to see marine life in Walvis Bay—a colony of thousands of Cape Fur seals makes its home there year-round. This tour takes you along the lagoon and salt mines to the point in a 4×4 vehicle and provides the kayaking know-how to cruise the protected part of the peninsula near the colony. For those who love to be outdoors, surrounded by animals, and without causing explicit alterations to the routine of these natural creatures. Pelican Point provides a home to thousands Cape Fur seals, lots of Heaviside's and Bottle-nose dolphins, black-backed jackals, flamingos and pelicans

This is an exciting and interesting shore excursion starting and ending in the port of Walvis Bay. We explore Walvis Bay town and visit the famous wetlands south of Walvis Bay which teams with thousands of flamingos and numerous other shore and seabirds. Afterwards we visit some of the highest dunes in this coastal area. We continue into the Namib Desert and marvel at the so called "moonscape", a rugged and rocky scenery reminding us of the surface of the moon. Our next destination is an oasis in the Swakop Canyon, a former farm which has now been turned into a pleasant resort with a restaurant in the middle of the "Moonscape". Afterwards we return to the coast and visit the historical town of Swakopmund which was founded in 1892 by the German Colonial Reich. Your guide will relate the history of Swakopmund and explain the distinct colonial character and origin of the various historical builidngs. We return to Walvis Bay port in the afternoon.

All other companies want you to use or find your own transport to Walvisbay and Pelican Point, we include transport and we will pick you up and drop you off at any accommodation along the coast. We include a light lunch and local drinks. We use new modern unsinkable Kayaks easy for anybody to use and that do not capsize. Everybody gets a life jacket and the guide will coach you on the use of the Kayak. No previous experience required. Its a must do for the active traveler.
