Location: in the yellow church in the city center, not in the white Arctic Cathedral at the other side of the bridge. Experience a concert in the biggest wooden cathedral in Northern Europe. Listen as skilled musicians transport the audience on a captivating journey through the area's musical heritage Be moved as two musicians and one vocalist fill the night with music. The church doors open 30 minutes before the start of the concert – welcome to meet up from 22:30 to admire the church before the concert starts at 23:00.

Take a walk on the wild side of Tromsø on this small-group outdoor hiking tour and explore the Arctic nature on foot. You'll be taken to the countryside of Tromsø in the middle of beautiful mountains, fjords and valleys, where you and your group will snowshoe up a small mountain or along a valley with a guide. On the tour we will be using snowshoes, which makes it easier and a lot of fun to walk on the snow. In the autumn months (October and November), you'll get to enjoy the colourful countryside before it is covered with a thick layer of snow. When there is not much snow, the tour is a hiking tour without snowshoes.

In the company of your own guide, you can explore the city by foot on this unique walking tour. The tour is organized with 3 hours duration. On this tour we take you on a walk around the small city centre of Tromsø that has been founded in 1795 on the island of Tromsøya and its surrounding. The city has, also called the Gateway to the Arctic, been throughout history the start for several Polar Expedition. Tromsø has long been an important base for many polar expeditions, and the Polar Museum exhibits and presents this polar seafaring tradition. After the visit at the Polar Museum, we will go to Full Steam where we will visit the exhibitions about the Maritime and Fisheries history as well as Sea Sami culture and history. The walk continues through the “Storgata” towards the Framsenter (the main building in Tromsø for research in the arctic). We will walk next to Ølhallen, Tromsøs oldest pub which used to be a popular place to stay for fishermen and explorers.

The tour will give an overview of the Island of Tromsø, its history and the surrounding area. We will make a stop on the island Kvaløy, visit the beach at Telegrafbukta, cross tot he mainland to visit the Arctic Cathedral a finish with a ride up Cable Car (Fjellheisen) to go up to enjoy the most spectacular view of the island of Tromsø and the group of islands behind it. Our guide will provide information about the region, flora, fauna, and geography. The tour lasts for 4 hours. It ends back in the city center or cruise ship quay. In our tours we accept wheelchair users or PRM. We also are prepared to guide people with visual or hearing impairments, as well as neurodivergent people as well. – NOTE – * If the Cable Car is closed for any reason, we will replace that stop with a 1 hour guided visit to the Tromsø Arctic University Museum, with a focus on Sámi history. * Due to maintenance, the cable car is closed until July

The tour starts at the meeting point. From there we will drive west, crossing the bridge that connects Tromsø to the island of Kvaløya. During this trip we will cross 3 fjords. And we will drive across the valley of Kattdfjordeidet. There will be short stops to take photos and experiment nature. Sometimes we can see reindeer and other animals roaming free. The destination is Sommarøy, “the Summer Island”. There we will enjoy a warm 2-couse lunch (soup + desert) inside the Sommarøy Arctic Hotel. To return we will take the road on the south-east coast of Kvaløya. During this ride we can enjoy the views of the Sund and the mountains of Malangen. The tour finishes at our original meeting point after approximately 5 hours. In all our tours we accept wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility.
