The tour starts with a brief introduction. Then we will drive west, across to the island Kvaløya. We get a view of the Island of Tromsø from afar, and maybe we see some animals. We cross back into Tromsøya and we make a stop at the beach Telegrafbukta. After that we will drive through the city centre talking about the city and its history.
We continue driving across the Tromsø bridge to the neighbourhood of Tromsdalen. We will make a stop at the Arctic Cathedral, one of the most emblematic buildings of Tromsø. To finish we will head to the base of the Cable Car (Fjellheisen) to go up to the upper station. Here we can enjoy the most spectacular view of the island of Tromsø and the group of islands behind it.

We monitor the forecast to find the best location, even if it means heading to Finland. At the viewing spot, enjoy hot drinks, snacks, and, if possible, a bonfire (weather-dependent). Thermal suits are available to keep you warm.
Your guide will take professional photos of you with the Northern Lights. Photos are uploaded the next day with a watermark (removed upon purchase).
After the tour, we’ll drop you off at Tromsdalen, Reinen, Tromsø Island, or Kvaløysletta. If your accommodation is elsewhere, we'll help arrange a taxi.

On this tour we take you on a walk around the small city centre of Tromsø that has been founded in 1795 on the island of Tromsøya and its surrounding. The city has, also called the Gateway to the Arctic, been throughout history the start for several Polar Expedition.
Tromsø has long been an important base for many polar expeditions, and the Polar Museum exhibits and presents this polar seafaring tradition. After the visit at the Polar Museum, we will go to Full Steam where we will visit the exhibitions about the Maritime and Fisheries history as well as Sea Sami culture and history.
The walk continues through the “Storgata” towards the Framsenter (the main building in Tromsø for research in the arctic). We will walk next to Ølhallen, Tromsøs oldest pub which used to be a popular place to stay for fishermen and explorers.

The tour starts at the meeting point. From there we will drive west, crossing the bridge that connects Tromsø to the island of Kvaløya.
During this trip we will cross 3 fjords. And we will drive across the valley of Kattdfjordeidet. There will be short stops to take photos and experiment nature. Sometimes we can see reindeer and other animals roaming free.
The destination is Sommarøy, “the Summer Island”. There we will enjoy a warm 2-couse lunch (soup + desert) inside the Sommarøy Arctic Hotel.
To return we will take the road on the south-east coast of Kvaløya. During this ride we can enjoy the views of the Sund and the mountains of Malangen.
The tour finishes at our original meeting point after approximately 5 hours.
