Come with us for your Aurora hunt for an amazing and ethical experience underneath the Aurora Borealis. Leave the light pollution in Tromsø behind and travel into the Arctic wilderness. During this activity, our small team of Aurora guides check the forecasts & use local knowledge to decide on the best place to chase the Northern Lights. When we find the best spot we will dress in warm thermal suits and boots, make a cosy campfire, and enjoy a homemade meal. You'll be shown how to use your camera, photograph the Aurora, and our guides will take photos of you, which are provided for free in web-sized resolution after the tour. Relax by the fire with hot chocolate before being returned back to Tromsø island to your hotel. Though there is never a guarantee of seeing this phenomenon, our experienced team of Aurora Hunters will do their best, every night of the season.

Take a walk on the wild side of Tromsø on this small-group outdoor hiking tour and explore the Arctic nature on foot. You'll be taken to the countryside of Tromsø in the middle of beautiful mountains, fjords and valleys, where you and your group will snowshoe up a small mountain or along a valley with a guide. On the tour we will be using snowshoes, which makes it easier and a lot of fun to walk on the snow. In autumn months and late spring when there is not much snow, the tour is a hiking tour without snowshoes.

This tour of Tromsø tour takes you along the seaside, where you'll experience a magnificent view of the Arctic Cathedral, and later you’ll find yourself at the Polar Museum, where you’ll learn about famous Polar researchers like Fritjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen. The tour does not have a pre-determined itinerary but adapts flexibly according to the visibility conditions found on the way. Get to know the history Tromsø as the world's northernmost brewery hub and become acquainted with the flavours of the North. We will visit Tromsø's historical city centre, two pubs and a micro brewery, and sample 10 locally produced beers and Arctic tapas in traditional, cosy settings, which are closely interlinked with the maritime history of Tromsø. One of Tromsø's main ambitions is participation in dogsled racing. Training of both dogs and people throughout the year is essential and summer is the time for new puppies first try at teamwork. The sleigh is drawn by the horse breed known from the Disney movie "Frozen". The sheep you will meet, have the opportunity to be outside all year long, and in the summertime they lives side by side to the reindeer up in the mountains. After the ride, you can warm up in our Sami tent, called a lavvo, where we serve coffee/tea/pastry/cured meats.

An amazing way to explore the Norwegian nature! You will get to meet a herd of reindeer, feed them, and then we start our snowshoeing tour. We will take a lot of photo breaks, and after snowshoeing you can relax and warm up with a warm meal, some hot drinks and cookies. PLEASE NOTE – This tour is beginner friendly, however some level of physical fitness is needed as this is an outdoor activity. The age limit for this tour is 8 years.

With presentations, video and quizzes, you will learn all you need to know about night photography and feel totally prepared before going on a Northern Lights adventure.
