Our Tour is very different because it combines the same day cultural and historical tour including one of the most beautiful beaches of the coast of Ceará. This tour lasts a full day. The tour begins with the main sights of Fortaleza with a stop for shopping in the Old Public Jail (Today Handicraft Center). After we follow towards Cumbuco Beach. Cumbuco Beach is located 38 km from Fortaleza, in the municipality of Caucaia, west coast, and is considered one of the most traditional of Ceará coast. Its main attractions are a fishing village, coconut palms by the sea and one of the most beautiful dune chains of the Ceará coast. In addition to the natural beauty, the beach offers an infrastructure of beach huts with varied cuisine, bathrooms and freshwater showers. Visitors can also enjoy various local (optional) rides such as buggy, raft (the yacht from Ceará) or take the romantic trip by yoke.

The tour takes us to discover the most geographically rugged and remote area of São Miguel Island. Following by the southern coast, we'll arrive to the village of Povoação, where we will stop to taste the famous "Fofas da Povoação" (local pastry). Then, our tour continues to the most flowery municipality of São Miguel Island, Nordeste. We will have the opportunity to enjoy the landscapes led by viewpoints of Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada overlooking the coast of the villages. We will admire the ancient water mills of the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park, where for decades the cereals of the surrounding parishes where grinded. The tour also includes passage in Gorreana Tea factory, one of the few existing in Europe and the oldest of our island, with a taste of the different teas produced there. The return to Ponta Delgada is made by north Coast, from which one can admire the way the sea and the winds of the North quadrant shaped the northern hillsides.

With this tour you can see the full east side of the island starting on the south until we arrive to the viewpoint of Nossa Senhora da Paz, an amazing view to the coast, the ocean and to the mountains. Then we will make our way to Furnas volcano, where you will get the chance to see one of the places where the volcanic activity is most present and this is where you will be able to relax on the hotsprings of Terra Nostra, and also see and taste the famous "cozido" – the stew that is cooked underground with the heat from the volcano! After lunch, we will go to the first settlement of the island – Povoação – inside of an extinct volcano and then, leaving this beautiful place, we go through Nordeste which is the most eastern point of the Island and known for its pristine gardens and flowers. You will get to have several views over the coast and even see a waterfall. The final stop of this tour will be the local tea plantations – the only one in Europe that produces green & black tea.
