The town of Livingstone was moved from Old Drift in 1905 when it was decided that a location on Constitution Hill would be healthier than one on the River. The town was carefully planned with wide streets, avenues of beautiful trees, buildings with high ceilings and mosquito-netted verandahs. Clients are taken to view the famous Curio market which is a bustling colourful market where the local Zambians come to shop. The market sells everything from bright chitenge (local fabric), bags, curios made from different types of trees, copper bracelets, Wall clocks, African Maps using the Big 5 animals etc. This Market is situated in a small park in the centre of town. After the tour clients are transferred back to hotel.

The Dinner trip aboard the Royal Livingstone Express is a combination of a fine dining experience and a sight-seeing journey. Complete with a smart dress code, passengers have a classy adventure to the Victoria Falls Bridge to watch the gorgeous African sunset and marvel at the sight of the largest waterfall in the world, before heading back along the newly refurbished Mulobezi railway line to Livingstone town in a most beautiful and romantic steam train. This activity brings a whole new meaning to the word indulgence! The Steam Train has scheduled runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays (although trips for other days of the week can be arranged). Guests are picked up from the Hotel/ Lodge at about 16h00 and transferred to the Bushtracks siding. The locomotive makes its way to the Victoria Falls Bridge from the siding.

The tour begins at Mukuni village, where you we look at the culture of the Toka Leya people and understand their day to day activities. From Mukuni Village we will proceed to the Railway and Jewish Museum in Livingstone, here we will learn of the steam locomotives that were used in the colonial times to move goods and people from one place to the other. We will also have a look at the first Jewish settlers of Livingstone. From the Jewish Museum we will proceed to have lunch at a local restraint that serves the Zambian cuisine. After lunch we will immediately head to the Livingstone Museum where we will learn the history of Livingstone and Zambia at large from the pre-colonial times to modern Zambia as we know we it. From the museum we will visit Maramba market in order to have an experience at the local market.
