Discover Our Angkor & Tonle Sap


Day 1: Angkor Wat – Discovery We started the day to visit the important Angkor Thom. It includes many of the finest temples from the time of King Jayavarman VII, who ruled from 1181 to 1220. In the centre of this city is the temple of Bayon, which we will also visit. This temple-mountain, built at the end of the 12th century. We will also see the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon, we begin our exploration of magnificent Angkor Wat, built under Suryavarman II. We’ll have time to photograph the famously eerie silk-cotton tree roots as they slowly envelope the Ta Prohm temple from Jayavarman VII’s reign. Day 2: Tonle Sap – Floating Village Today visit Kampong Phluk is a cluster of three villages of stilted houses built within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap about 16 km southeast of Siem Reap. Flooded mangrove forest surrounds the area and is home to a variety of wildlife including crab-eating macaques.

Tonle Sap Kampong Phluk Village


Kompong Phluk Floating Village is a permanent village opposed to floating, And it's about 25 kilometers east of Chong Khneas. Here is a much better option for you to visit a village on the lake. Kompong Phluk is accessible by boat only. Kompong Phluk is a relatively small village that provides very good insight into the village lifestyle of the Tonle Sap. This village exists almost exclusively on fishing and related activities. Houses are built on stilts up to 10 m high, and the village is surrounded by flooded forest.
