This guided tour is very organized and adheres to a schedule we modify to continue to provide the best experience. Please note that our tour spends the longest time in Tolantongo, allowing you to truly enjoy your time in Tolantongo without feeling rushed by your tour company throughout the day. Our guides are extremely fluent in their English language skills. Most have lived a major part of their life in the United States and or Canada. We will leave Mexico City first thing in the morning, to start our way to the Tolantongo Caves, in the state of Hidalgo. Once there, take a bath in its hot springs, visit the caves, estuaries, pools and waterfalls of this incredible natural paradise located 1280 meters above sea level. We will visit the “Hidden Paradise” section, made up of 40 thermal water pools and a pool with a slide. The day begins with a nice breakfast buffet to prepare for the needed energy for the days activities. After that it will be water activities all day. We start the tour with the warm pools that have been etched onto the mountain side, later proceeding down to the turquoise thermal river for a relaxing lunch along its banks. After lunch, we will jump in to the warm waters of the river before transitioning to the glorious waterfalls and caves. Before entering the caves, we will admire the view of the waterfalls that guard the natural caves we will be exploring. In the caves we will use our lamps to walk through the warm waters extruding from within, explore the interior waterfalls, and observe the origin point of the waters that give Tolantongo it's name. Tolantongo, meaning "place of warm moving water," will prove to give you an experience in Mexico unlike any other. (River and cave exploration are contingent on good weather in days prior to allow for an optimal experience).

We will provide you with a blanket, travel pillow and mask so that you can rest on the way to the caves. On the way, we will stop for breakfast at a buffet-style restaurant. We continue our tour to have a tasting of traditional drinks. Upon arrival at the Tolantongo caves we will provide you with a kit for this adventure. To begin we will make a stop at the main attraction: the thermal water pools that are jacuzzis with a panoramic view of the valley where you can relax. If you wish, you can climb the 4-shot zip line, which is an experience with an additional cost only for adventurers. Don't forget to cross the suspension bridge, the hidden pools and thermal caves. Then we will immerse ourselves in the river, to continue enjoying this experience and at the end we will have the typical lunch already included in your package ready to enjoy outdoors. Tolantongo is a natural hot spring river with some sort of jacuzzies, the place is all natural and you can enjoy your day in hot water with some water falls and swim in safe small caves, it’s a great relaxing and healthy experience, the water has lots of minerals therefore its blue color. Even though the place is a bit far from the city can be done in a day and the drive is worth it. We will depart from Mexico city at 6:30 am and from Tolantongo at 5:00pm that will make a 15 hour day tops. Is a great place to visit but is better to go with a knowledgeable driver since is hard to get there.
