If you want to get a taste of the authentic local culture instead of visiting the standard tourist attractions in Tirana, the best thing to do is to jump into this day tour. We will have the opportunity to try Byrek and have breakfast like a local. The journey then leads towards Çam bazaar. With your local companion by your side, you’ll skip past the tourist traps and discover the city’s culinary highlights in some of our favourite local neighbourhoods, where you'll have the opportunity to savour a traditional dessert at an authentic pastry. We will join locals at a cosy café and taste traditional "Albanian coffee". The next stop of our local adventure takes us to the New Bazaar. Start the tour from Clock Tower at Skanderbeg Square, National Museum (the huge mosaic on front represents the Albanian history development and the stages of this development are presented on respective pavilions). Then you continue to see Palace of Culture/Opera/National Library, Mosque of Ethem Bey, the Clock Tower, Bunkart 2 , National Art Gallery, Tirana Castle, Parliament, Ura e Tabakeve, Catholic Cathedral Namazgjah Mosque, main government buildings,, the Pyramid, Prime Minister building, Palace of congresses, Mother Teresa Square, Archaeological Museum (there are presented many archaeological discoveries since the Stone Age up to the Medieval), Polytechnic University, Presidential palace, Cold War corner. Ex-Blloku ( the most beautiful and protected zone were the ex-communist leaders families lived). Proceed to Youth Park, Taiwan, Orthodox Cathedral (optional visit to Christian Heritage Souvenir shop), House of Leaves Surveillance Museum. The tour ends at the National Bank.

For 3 hours we will wander in Tirana's main neighborhoods talking about its history from Romans, Ottomans, Communism time, and present. We will walk on the Main Square talking about the foundation of Tirana and the buildings surrounding it. Then will pass at Toptani area, King's Zog old castle, and the prince residence. Will continue to Main Boulevard and will pass by the Pyramid, Prime Ministry, Parliament Offices, Presidency, University, etc. Our tour will end up with a visit at ex-Blloku, which was once the communist leaders' residence quartier closed from the public eye, Hoxha's house is still there and we can see from outside. We will continue with the Castle of Tirana, Pyramid (breathtating views from the top of the pyramid), Deshmorët e Kombit Boulevard and we will visit Blloku area full of bars, restaurants and clubs.
