Never been landsailing? That's okay. No experience necessary. Bonaire has the perfect conditions and we have the ideal location. Sailing a blokart is super easy to learn. We'll give you a 10 minute lesson to ensure you have the most fun during your time on the track. This activity is for everyone because you control the speed. Those wishing to take it easy and enjoy a leisurely, wind-powered sail can do so, and those wanting a full dose of adrenaline will also enjoy themselves. We have two shadow (double) blokarts available so small children (ages 3-8) or elderly parents can ride in the "side car". No excuses for not participating as we recently had a 91 year old lady experience landsailing at our track. Children, age 8 and older, can sail solo (depending on wind conditions). This tour begins in Kralendijk, our capital. Due to the natural coral structure all around the island, Kralendijk is also known as "coral dike." The highlights on the south of Bonaire is rich in history and beauty, with spectacular ocean views and historical architecture. As you explore and take in the sights, your local guide will give information on the region's nature, economy, and landmarks. We will stop to take photos at the Salt flats, White or Yellow Slave Huts also the lighthouse. As you travel along and pass by the big salt hills that have been a part of Bonaire's history since the 17th century on our way to the Sorobon Beach for a beach break. The entire island of Bonaire is a protected marine park, and Sorobon Beach is situated in the center of it. A bay hidden amongst mangrove trees will take your breath away. Water up to your knees runs as far as the eye can see. The seagrass pastures attract a variety of sea life, so don't be shocked if a turtle passes by slowly.

Join us for Bonaire's original Land & Sea snorkel combo tour, an unhurried and leisure experience with your own private guide. While exploring the south of Bonaire in your private vehicle the narrative discusses the Cargill salt flats, the Salt Pier and the the historic slave huts, which date back to 1850. Flamingos and Donkeys are frequently seen on this tour, discover some of our marine species as well during your guided snorkel. The snorkel portion of the tour will be from the beach within our Bonaire Marine Park. Your guide will take care to ensure that your safety comes first while snorkeling in our waters. Snorkel sites are chosen based on your experience level and sea conditions on that day. All snorkel equipment is included. This tour can be customized upon request. Spend your day your way.

You will be visiting 3 of the remarkable caves here on the Island together with a Native or Local tour guide. We will pick you up at the ship's port or your hotel or apartment. Transportation from and to your accommodation is covered. The caves are located on the North side of the Island. One at the entrance of Santa Barbara and one just down the road at Hill Top; we will stop at the second Cave. This area is rich in caves. The first Cave we will be visiting has a ladder you must climb to get into Cave. When you are in the Cave, there will be bats and many unique rocks. When you are in the Cave, you will see a lot of types of limestones, as you can see in the pictures, and some of the rocks look like they have gliders on them because when you shine your light or flashlight on them, they start glowing. If you like cliff jumping, we will be visiting a small and low cliff jumping after the cave tour. It is enjoyable!!!! 🙂 The ridge is not high at all, and everyone can jump from it.

Travel through the scenic countryside, learning about the 1000 steps dive site, bat caverns, natural life, flora and animals, and the Karpata Plantation, where processed aloe was originally cultivated and exported, while cruising to Bonaire's first settlement community. Rincon is thought to be the Caribbean's oldest village. Hidden away from the sight of the roving pirates along the shore in the basin of the north hills. Visit the old traditional home, which has been turned into a cultural historic museum by the original family descendants. On your route back to the ship, you'll leave Rincon and travel through the north-eastern desert-like region, which has gigantic cacti, wild donkeys, and pounding waves.

On this tour, you will experience Bonaire's Donkey Sanctuary – a habitat created to rescue donkeys needing extra care, food and water. You will interact with the donkeys throughout the drive as they regularly "say hello" and attempt to put their noses through the car window! You can also purchase a few carrots at the sanctuary to feed a few lucky donkeys while on your visit.  At the sanctuary, you will also see a few other things. The Special Care Unit is an area of the sanctuary where we will learn about the services provided to bring a distressed donkey back to health. You can also visit the garden, where you will see local plants, tortoises, and iguanas.  Climbing the watchtower will give you a great view of the entire sanctuary and an excellent photo opportunity. We'll round out our visit with a refreshing drink from the terrace, where you can spot some beautiful pink flamingos over the salt lake.

This tour is the first of its kind on Bonaire. Your guide is an experienced certified Bonaire guide who also enjoys beachcombing and the search for sea glass. Learn about some local glass archeology and enjoy a narrative of the historic local town of Kralendijk and Bonaire. Upon meeting your guide, we will first tour the Mangroves and Sorobon area. We will then walk along our East coast shoreline, here is where we may find sea treasures. The second beach area will be in Kralendijk, where the shoreline was once a refuse area. This area is where we may find the historic pieces of glass dating from the 1700 and 1800's. You are able to collect glass, however the corals and other organic items are protected as part of the marine park.
