The excursion takes place on board comfortable dinghies of 7.5 meters with a 250 horsepower engine, equipped with a awning to provide shade during stops. The skipper is an expert connoisseur of the area, and during the tour provides historical and naturalistic information. During stops in the main places of interest you can swim and snorkel safely, equipment is available free of charge on board. A small savoury snack and a cold drink are served on board, but other food and drinks are allowed.

Kayaking is one of the most complete rowing sports and if we add two sessions of snorkelling, we get a perfect combination of healthy exercise and relax, to disconnect from the routine and daily stress. We leave Fornells rowing quietly to go around the cliffs of La Mola for the first snorkelling session, we continue to the Islet of Cala Tirant for the second snorkelling session and on the way back we stop at the unspoiled beach of S'arenalet with time to take a swim, regain strength, rest and have a drink. Our tour lasts 3 hours and a half and is always done with a guide-instructor in a single or double kayak. During most snorkel tours one simply goes snorkeling after being given the equipment. In contrast, this is an educational snorkel tour suitable for the entire family. The tour starts with a short PowerPoint presentation on the ecology and natural history of the area, and also covers the most common species encountered on the reef. The presentation provides an understanding of the reef and enables one to recognize the many species of fish and invertebrates encountered. Coral growth is poorly developed in the central Gulf of California, but this tour takes place on the only reef with extensive coral growth in the region. During the snorkel tour you will be accompanied by a marine biologist that will assist you in finding and identifying the many species of fish and invertebrates on the reef. After the snorkel tour the group reconvenes to address the observations using a variety of field guides provided, while enjoying freshly made ceviche together with a variety of refreshments.

Being able to visit with fins, mask and snorkel one of the most pristine places in Sardinia is absolutely an experience not to be missed! The islands of Cavoli and Serpentara are SCIs, that is, sites of community interest, very important for the repopulation of marine flora and fauna but also for nesting birds, especially the Corsican seagull, easily visible during excursions. A few meters deep, the marine wealth is immense: groupers, octopus, glimpses, sea bream, sponges, algae and much more still dominate this seabed of Posidonia oceanica (the most important marine plant of the Mediterranean).
