Spend a fantastic experience immersed in Sicilian tradition and culture. On this 3 hours boat tour of Taormina. The adventure will start from the beach and you will participate in a relaxing tour of the coast of Taormina. Led by one or more local guides, you will visit all the most important bays and caves. During the tour we will stop in one of the best bays to swim and see the beautiful seabed, thanks to our Snorkeling equipment. All accompanied by a pleasant tasting of typical Sicilian wines and liqueurs. We will visit unique and historical places, such as the famous “Isola Bella” and we will also enter in some cave that will enchant your eyes through plays of light. The tasting includes: 1 glass of red wine, 1 glass of white wine, 1 glass of Prosecco. Snacks can includes: Sicilian cheeses and salami, nuts, fruit, olives, etc. If the weather conditions don’t guarantee the boat trip, I will let you know in advance and you will be refunded 100%.

The Sicilian Pantry is a family run cookery school located in the heart of the Historical centre of Palermo. We offer daily market tours & cookery lessons of traditional Sicilian dishes. We meet in the morning at one of Palermo’s oldest markets, shop around for any items we will need for the lesson and then stroll to the air-conditioned school kitchen where we prepare a 4 course Sicilian meal, learning the techniques & tricks needed to recreate it when you return home. After the lesson we can sit down together to enjoy our efforts along with a selection of Sicilian wines rounded off with some homemade liqueurs & coffee We believe that the true expression of Sicilian cuisine comes from the quality of its fresh seasonal produce so we strive to always ensure that we have the best of what Sicily has to offer in order to share this with our guests This is an entertaining and informative day out, recommended for cooks of all levels We meet at 10:00 & lessons typically end around 14:30

The tour will start from Porta Messina at 10:00 pm wih our Chef. Visit of Taormina Market and selection of typical sicilian food. After reaching the restaurant you will make home-made pasta and many other dishes of the Sicilian culinary tradition. Once finished the course, all participants will sit at a table for tasting the prepared dishes and drink a local sicilian wine.

The Etna excursion and wine tasting with lunch begins in an SUV or minivan (up to 8 people) with a first stop in an off-road vehicle up to the lava front of the 2002 eruption. Subsequently, crossing the Ragabo Pine Forest, we will arrive at the starting point of the trek to the Monti Sartorius craters where we will continue on foot starting from 1650m and arriving at an altitude of 1750 metres, a walk suitable for everyone. We will then explore a lava flow cave, the Grotta dei Ladroni, equipped with helmets and torches. After the excursion to Etna, we will visit a local winery where you can taste various Etna wines and a complete lunch based on Sicilian specialties. A sommelier will tell you about viticulture in Sicily, the winemaking processes and the history of the winery. Wine & Cheese is a tasting for those who want to approach the world of regional cuisine and at the same time visiting some of the most beautiful monumental areas of the old city. The tasting is conducted by our Wine Expert guide and includes a brief guided walk of about 30-45 minutes to admire some of the most interesting monumental sites of the city (about 1 km), up until reaching a renowned wine Bar in a sophisticated environment, where you will be waited in order to start the joint tasting, served with elegant cutlery and glasses, of five types of excellent quality Sicilian cheese, from the freshest to the most aged, almond cookies and six important wines representative of the main local varieties, such as Nero d’Avola and Catarratto, and a dessert wine. The Sicilian wine, of secular tradition, has won over in recent decades the markets all over the world and the dairy Sicilian tradition is one of the oldest and most appreciated in Italy.

During this two hour Wine Tasting Dinner, our sommelier will lead the class through the background and concepts of Sicilian wine: the main types and styles of wine, grapes, and terroir; after which, you will learn about assessing wine quality and ageing, and the principles of food and wine pairing. To wrap up the class, we’ll share ideas and opinions of what we’ve experienced over a classic shot of limoncello. The aim of this class is to put Sicilian winemaking into the spotlight. The tour will allow you to visit Savoca, Taormina and Messina without time limits you will decide the stops with your driver or hostess who will accompany you giving information on board the means of transport, plus at the end of the tour you can enjoy in a famous Pasticceria di Messina the real Sicilian cannolo made at the time sipping a glass of typical Sicilian almond wine.

The tasting will take place in a centuries-old estate that includes a Greek fortress. You can enjoy a pleasant visit, strolling through the vineyards and the lush exotic garden while a wine expert will guide you through a selection of 4 different wines representing the area and traditions of Sicily. You will learn about the different grape varieties, the soil, and the winemaking techniques used to produce these exceptional wines. Targetta: Grape variety: shiny Catarratto. Bright straw yellow in colour, with hints of orange blossom, golden apple and peach, with slight mineral hints. The taste is dry, savoury and fresh. Re Federico: hints of red fruits, flowers and vanilla. The taste is soft, balanced and harmonious, expressing good structure and pleasant envelopment. Damarete Rosato: dense yet flowing, wild yet elegant, consistent yet refined. Baronessa di Canseria: scents of green pepper with notes of morello cherry, cinchona root and leather.
