River Stretches

Starting at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, you and your group will kayak down a scenic five mile stretch of river as it moves it's way through the Tonto National Forest. Participants often witness wild horses, birds and other wildlife that cool off in the river during the summer months.  We have the special privilege of being the only kayak rental company located right on the Salt River, so our trips launch directly from our site. Each reservation includes a kayak (or with advance request a paddleboard), paddle, PFD/personal flotation device and return shuttle to starting site. This is an UNGUIDED kayaking experience. While this is primarily a scenic float there are sections of swift water and kayakers often tip out – so be prepared to get wet.

The trip includes a visit to the infamous bridge on the River Kwai, built by Allied prisoners of war (POW) during World War II. Sunset Cruise trips along the Zambezi are a magnificent and extremely popular way to experience the river. All the boats, bar the jet boats, navigate a 6 km stretch of river above the Falls themselves, shallow waters and hazardous rocks prevent them from venturing any further. Although you do not see the Falls themselves during a cruise, a cloud of spray, visible from the boats, sits on the horizon, crowning the waterfall. This section of river, which starts 3kms above the Falls is placid and wide and dissected with many islands. Resident hippo and crocodile are guaranteed sightings, whilst elephant herds are often seen as they cross from one island to the other in search of food. The birdlife is phenomenal and the sunsets are truly unforgettable.

Our introduction to whitewater.  This 5.5 mile stretch of river has more to offer in whitewater excitement and adventure than any other section of the entire Rogue River, and nobody knows it better or provides more fun and safety than Noah’s guides and crew. This trip departs Ashland once a day, seven days a week, when four or more river enthusiasts are ready to go. Guests leave the Ashland area by 10:30 a.m. and return approximately by 3:30 p.m. Minimum age is 7-8 yo based on size and experience

Canyoning takes place on the river Cetina, which is 105 km long and stretches from Vrlika village, where it rises from underground to the town of Omiš where it flows into the Adriatic Sea. Cetina is very commercial, so along it's way you will find many excursions such as canyoning, rafting and kayaking. Caynoning takes place in the village Zadvarije where river Cetina, by thousands of years of its flow, formed an amazing waterfall with fascinating stone sculptures and stone cliffs stretching over us. This paradise for your eyes with its charms and sounds of intact nature represents a real aesthetic experience making this sport an attractive, unique entertainment. We will boat on the rafts for about 5Km along the big, gentle Adda river. This stretch of river is in a very green contest, part of the Northern Adda park, at the end of Adda river valley, where the waters slow down and it becomes more placid, but in an unexpected and remarkable environmental context. From the rafts you will see river and nature from a new, unique view. Moreover, during the descent there will be breaks for diving and play funny water games. River trekking is a discipline that has recently been spreading in Italy and consists of walking stretches of streams and rivers, diving into pools of crystal clear water and swimming or letting yourself be carried away by the current. Similar to canyoning, however in river trekking the use of harnesses or ropes is not foreseen, because less demanding stretches are run.
