A unique boat cruise in our aluminium safari boats. Starting from the jetty at Tarentaal Day Visitor area in Ebb & Flow South of Wilderness Rest Camp. We take a scenic voyage down the Touw River through reed lined wetlands to the lagoon and village, passing historic hotels, guest houses an bridge and luxury homes along the river. We return up the river past Ebb & Flow and into the steeply forested valley. One can see magnificent Yellowwood, Milkwood, Cape Chestnut and other indigenous trees. We encounter a variety of birds such as, Turacos, Kingfishers, Coots, Ducks, Geese, Cormorants , Fish Eagles, Grebes and more. A chance to see Baboons, Monkeys, Bushbuck, Otters and more. By bike is the best way to see the most beautiful landmarks of New York City. All of our bikes are Trek or Giant brand bikes new to this model year with no tacky advertisements on the bikes. Black River Gorges National park is the largest natural area in Mauritius and one of only two national parks in the country. Nearly all of the remaining old growth forest in Mauritius – only 2% remains – is contained within the park. It therefore serves as a refuge for many iconic and endangered species like the Mauritian Flying Fox, Echo Parakeet, Mauritius Kestrel, and Pink Pigeon. Your best opportunity to see these incredible animals is on the extensive, 60km in total, trail network that will take you to waterfalls, peaks, and pristine sections of forest. Our Scenic Float on the Rogue River is a scenic, casual, relaxing affair. There are small class I & II riffles and rapids along the way. The Rogue River Scenic Float is where we use our large, comfortable, excursion rafts with padded seats and backrests on this mellow but beautiful and secluded piece of the famous Rogue River. We take our lunch at The Discovery Park. This park is a boat-in only park on the Rogue River and will be a favorite for families! You will have the option to purchase lunch/snacks, beverage of your choice, and play in the private park. Food options to accommodate everyone's taste; Vegan & GF to meat lovers will be available from The Discovery Park food truck. Snack foods, ice cream and a large assortment of non-alcoholic & alcoholic options are available!
