The park has trails that range from those that are 100% natural, to others that are slightly modified and sections adapted to allow accessibility for people with special mobility needs. All paths offer good chances of sighting birds, mammals and reptiles. In the park the volcanic component is combined with its fumaroles, lagoons and mud pailas, with a great variety of impressive ecosystems and landscapes, waterfalls, areas of regenerating grasslands, and primary forests. Rincon de la Vieja has two sectors, Las Pailas and Santa María, whose beauties stand volcanic manifestations. In Las Pailas you can visit the trail of the same name, the hidden waterfalls and La Cangreja Falls, the trail to the crater and Cerro Von Seebach (all high difficulty). In Santa Maria you can visit the Hummingbird Trail, The Pailas of Cold Water, Enchanted Forest Waterfalls, Hot Springs (all of the above, of moderate difficulty) and the sightseeing place (high difficulty).

Looking for something to do in Rincon Bonaire? Not too long and not too strenuous? Then this fun car or scooter scavenger hunt is the ideal activity. 'Explore the Valley of Rincon' is a scavenger hunt through the valley of Rincon. You receive questions and assignments about Rincon on your phone. You earn points if you answer a question correctly. While playing you learn a lot about Rincon. There are 12 places you must try to find in the valley. But there's no directions, because it's a scavenger hunt after all. You can spend as long as you like on the quest. So feel free to take a drink on a terrace in Rincon, for example at the 'Cadushy Distillery' or 'Mangazina Di Rei'. Rincon Village is the oldest village in Bonaire and rich in history. It is also the most senior community within the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Initially settled by the Spanish in the early 1500s, Rincon was strategically nestled within a valley to ward off impending danger from pirates and other threats.   In the 17th century, enslaved people were brought to Bonaire and worked tending crops and the salt pans until 1863. Living in Rincon, the slave men would walk a 7-hour journey south for work and then return on weekends to gather supplies at Mangazina di Rei (King’s storehouse) and visit their families.  We will stop at the Cadushi distillery, where you can taste the local cactus liquor made on Bonaire for free. After visiting Cadushi, we will stop at our last stop – a local restaurant called Posada. Here you can try native island food and taste the local flavour. This Waterfall is on Private Property. Imagine going To a beautiful waterfall and not see one person around you, think about this. No one will be at this place except for us and our group! This is Not A TOURIST TRAP! Walk with me on a up and down a easy forest trail. This is tour is NOT in the El Yunque National rainforest. This trail, is located on Private Property in the center of the island of Puerto Rico. We will end up at a breathtaking natural swimming pool and waterfall. This perhaps may be the ONLY tour that you get it all. This 5-6 hour, small group Adventure that will take you to see the mountains, look out point of the country side of Puerto Rico, the culture, local bakery, eat local food, swimming in waterfalls. Las Pailas Circular Trail (Boiling Mud Pots Trail) This 2-mile loop will bring you to a variety of viewpoints, past boiling mud pots, fumaroles, a volcancito (small volcano) and beautiful views of the volcano. At certain times of year (green season), you may even see a small seasonal waterfall. This is an easy trail that can be done within the hour. Second activity: River Tubing on Rio colorado is a fun and exciting way to shoot the rapids in Costa Rica! If you have ever been to an amusement park before and tried the “lazy river”, you have had only a taste of what real jungle tubing is like. You’ll cover about 2.5 miles of easy going on a class I and ll river, encountering up to 25 rapids with contrasting stretches of calm river currents while in a durable custom crafted inflatable tube.

Hiking at Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park & Oropendola Waterfall Hike at the national park trail ( 2,5 miles) through dry tropical forest to see incredible nature, volcanic activity, and wildlife. When you finish your hike, in a short walk from the national park entrance you reach the Oropéndola Waterfall, and take a dip on the crystal waters of the river to relax. Come join us for a guided hike in the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park! When you arrive at our adventure center, we'll take you on a 25-minute drive to the edge of the park. Once there, your guide will introduce you to this incredible natural area, which was designated a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO in 2005. The park is home to one of the most active volcanoes in Costa Rica! During the hike, we'll follow an accessible trail through the forest and discover various natural attractions, including giant strangler ficus trees, a seasonal waterfall, the "little volcano," smoking fumaroles, and the famous boiling mud pots, also known as "Las Pailas." Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife such as armadillos, collared peccaries, black iguanas, boa constrictor snakes, white-nosed coatis, howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, spider monkeys, toucans, and tapirs. The trail is 2.5 miles (3.5 km) long and will take approximately 2.5 hours.
