Is one of the oldest areas of Central America; after the plate tectonic moved pushing up the magma, metamorphic change to granite rising from the sea. The mountain was exposed to weather creating a series of waterfalls, streams, and rivers. Researchers have found rocks that date 340 million old, the oldest rock of Central America with one of the tallest waterfalls over a 1000 ft high. Mountain Pine Ridge was Rio-Firo-Cave one of the first mountains to emerge from the sea several waterfalls, creeks, and rivers were formed to create Belize's two biggest watersheds, The Sibun River and the Macal and Belize River. The area being so big allows us to visit three of the most impressive destinations Rio Frio Cave, Rio On Pool, and Big Rock Falls.

The flame fern trail ride combines the Majestic Flame Azalea and the lush Fern Forest for a really enjoyable trail ride for everyone. You start up the mountain traveling through a hard wood forest filled with wild Flame Azaleas. After the hardwoods, you enter an enchanting white pine forest just like in the Star Wars movie.

From mountains to beach. This hike starts at the high rocks of the Sierra de la Plata. The earth path changes into a sandy path, the vegetation changes and we now walk through pine forests. There are beautiful vistas on the ocean and on the mountain ridges. Then we reach a 'valley', a gorge where you imagine yourself in a western. We walk past him up to a road, which we cross and follow a steep descending path ending at the beach. Possibility of swimming and walking along this wild coast. Then we walk back to the road and after a short while we arrive at a small charming bar where we can have a fish and drink a beer / wine, with that beautiful view of Morocco. Then we walk back to our starting point and drive to Zahora. We start at 450 meters altitude and it is an 8 km long walk Minimum 5 participants

Nounou Mountain Sleeping Giant Hike This is one of the most satisfying hikes in all Kaua’i with ready rewards all along the way. On the lower reaches you will go through one of the largest groves on Kaua’i of stately Cook Island pines growing on the western flanks of this charming mountain. To name a few, bird watch for Brazilian cardinals, shama and melodious laughing thrushes. Shade is the rule with great vistas from the ridges over Kapa’a, with the possibility on a clear day to see the distant island of Oahu to the Southeast. The reward at the end, panoramic views of the hinterland of the Wailua Homestead and the awe-inspiring fluted ridges of Mount Wai’ale’ale draped in the clouds beyond. At the summit we will pause and lunch.

Matt Rivers 5 star May 1, 2018 · Cracking day out with Stewart and highly recommend his services, great fun, never seen Golden Eagles in the wild before, even if it was a brief glimpse of them a couple of hundred feet above our head, but that’s nature, can’t tell it when and where to be on request. Also got to see a mother and pup Sea Otter catching and eating a Conger eel amongst lots of other wildlife and then to top the day off got to see a couple of different Pine Martins so all in all a very rewarding day out! (Home made cakes and pasties for lunch was an added bonus)

Sit down lunch This combination tour consists of a morning tour of Xunantunich Maya Temple which is located 20 minutes driving distance from San Ignacio Town in the Maya Village of San Jose Succotz. To get to the site one must cross the Mopan River by a hand cranked ferry, which then gives us access to the one mile ascent into one of Belize’s most popular sites. Champadevi is elevated 7,496 feet (2,285 meters) above the sea level and is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in the Hindu and Buddhist religions. It is another equally best, easy, short enjoyable hike in the southern hill of Kathmandu valley. Experience of walking through the lush pine forest on well develop trail is really wonderful experience. The trail goes gradually uphill for about half an hour towards the north ridge and then ascends further through the beautiful forest to Champadevi. Most of the walk is along the ridge and offers a spectacular bird’s eye view of the Kathmandu valley and mountains. From here we can enjoy the superb view of central and western Himalayan range including Langtang, Gauri Shanker, Jugal, Dorge Lakpa and many others.
