Get Up Close to Everest on a 5-Day Everest Jiri Pikey Peak Trek
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to Dhap (2900m). The drive takes about 10-12 hours. Overnight in a guesthouse or teahouse.
Day 2: Trek from Dhap to Jhapre (2930m). This is a pleasant hiking day, taking about 5 hours. Along the way, you will pass through small villages and experience the simpler life of the Nepalese people.
Day 3: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp (3600m). This is a more challenging day, with some steep sections. The hike takes about 6-7 hours. Overnight in a guesthouse at the base camp.
Day 4: Hike to Pikey Peak (4065m) and return to Dhap (2932m). Wake up early and climb to the summit of Pikey Peak. Enjoy the stunning views of Mount Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Gauri Shanker. Then, return to the base camp for breakfast and start trekking back to Dhap.
Day 5: Drive from Dhap to Kathmandu. After breakfast, take a jeep or bus back to Kathmandu. The drive takes about 10-12 hours.
