The current monastery complex was constructed in 1783, replacing the earlier chapel. It is a majestic structure with a blend of architectural styles, including Byzantine and Venetian influences. The monastery is renowned for its towering bell tower, which is the largest Baroque-style bell tower in the world. Also, there are two museums, one ecclesiastical and one secular for both visits. This trip takes you to the perfectly formed Harbor of Symi, one of the most beautiful picture postcard villages with neo classical pastel colored houses. You will have free time at your leisure to explore the quaint shops in search of natural sea sponges and cooking spices. Why not have a fresh fish lunch in the sunshine at one of the islands sea front taverns. After lunch the boat sets sail to the south of the island, here along the inlet stands the massive building of Panormitis Monastery. This monastery is dedicated to the Archangel Michael and has a charming bell tower and a beautiful 12th century church. It is a well-known spot of great interest and attracts many visitors and worshippers who come to see the Byzantine frescoes and engraved temple full of golden offerings.

The boat departs from tourist port approximately at 09:00. The ship will arrive at Symi Island port after approximately 1+1/2 hour and remains there for 3+1/2 hours. The guests will be having a guided tour along the narrow streets of the village Yalos and the opportunity to visit the local sponges and spices shops. Afterwards the guests can have lunch at traditional restaurants and can have free time to spend on their own, where they can explore the village and take some beautiful photos. Afterwards the ship will sail to the next stop, Panormitis Monastery. They will have about 45 minutes to visit the monastery. At ship will arrive at Rhodes port and from there coach will transfer the guests back to their accommodation.
