Volunteer for a day with giant pandas on a private tour at the Dujiangyan Giant Panda Center. Help record panda behavior, clean enclosures(if you'd like to) and prepare food with a professional animal keeper as you get up close to China’s beloved black and white bears. Your volunteer service and program fee help ensure the survival of this vital species and contribute to the important work of the non-profit research facility — one of three bases that are part of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP). Lunch and round-trip hotel transport by private vehicle from Chengdu are included.

Spend a morning with some of China’s most famous residents at the Dujiangyan Giant Panda Center or the Chengdu Panda Breeding Center from Chengdu. Led by a professional panda keeper, meander through the facilities and observe the pandas while you learn about their breeding and life stages. Also, you'll have the opportunity to visit the Red Panda area to learn more about this quiet yet territorial mammal.

7：00-8:40 Pick up and go to Dujiangyan or Wolong Panda Base 8:40-9:00 Complete registration procedure; put on the work suit and gloves, wear the volunteer pass card. 9:00-10:00 Start to clean the panda enclosure ,as well as cracking bamboos,carry out the leftovers, etc. 10:00-11:30 Walk around other panda enclosures to see the adorable black and white animals, learn more stories about the pandas. 11:30-13:00 Lunch and break 13:00-14:00 Watch a panda documentary to learn more about the scientific facts and the life of panda. 14:00-15:00 Make panda cakes , cut the bamboo leaves and be issued the certificate of panda volunteering exerience. 15:00-17:00 Drive back to downtown Chengdu Pls notice that this is a rough schedule for the day tour, it may be affected by the panda’s conditions.

Option 1: Private tour to visit Chengdu panda base and Sanxingdui Museum. Dujianyan Panda Base is one of the few bases offer panda volunteer program in China. The full day program include panda food making and features of documentary video of releasing panda to the wildness. Accompanied by a professional panda expert who will introduce you the topics of the panda discovery, the history of panda in China, the classification, and panda conservation. Dujiangyan Panda Base is dedicated to the study of disease control and rescue of wild pandas where you will contribute to the conservation of endangered panda bears! ***Starting from April 25, 2024, panda volunteers will not be allowed to enter the panda enclosure, and the arrangement of clean the panda enclosures & collect panda poop will be canceled. ***Any activities missed due to being late will not be rescheduled, and guests will bear the consequences.

After years of road construction, travelers can visit Wolong Panda Base now. Accompanied by a professional panda expert who introduced you the topics of the panda discovery, the history of panda in China, the classification, and panda conservation. ***Starting from April 25, 2024, panda volunteers will not be allowed to enter the panda enclosure, and the arrangement of clean the panda enclosures & collect panda poop will be canceled. Notes for panda volunteers: 1.No perfume, no cologne, no nail polish, be healthy (don’t get cold). 2.wear shoes (no slippers or Crocs). 3.Sunscreen and sunglasses will be useful. 4.Any activities missed due to being late will not be rescheduled, and guests will bear the consequences.

We have started the pandas tour in this base since 2005 and we know the base the pandas as our hands. Chengdu is not only a city full of historical heritage, but it is a nice place for people who seek leisure and scenic beauty. The private one day tour bring you to see two of the areas biggest attractions: the giant pandas and the amazing Leshan Giant Buddha.

Early in the morning We will drive about 1.5 hours to Dujiangyan Panda Base. We spend whole morning walking around this area to see different pandas playing in the enclosures or on the trees. Before our afternoon hike in the mountain, we will go to nearby tea house to enjoy a Chinese Tea Ceremony for a break, and then we will start our hike. The mountain is great for a half day trip. Trekking up and down the mountain takes around 3-4 hours to complete depending on your hiking speed. The hike takes you up the mountain and through many different Taoist temples. We will choose the cable car up and down which makes our hiking much more easier. Once we get to the top, you may find the view is pretty amazing from Laojun Pavilion. You can see Mount Qingcheng’s many different peaks and neighboring temples in the distance. After that we will walk down to the bottom along the same way and meet our driver there, go back to downtown Chengdu, the end of trip.

This is a private one-day tour event, and we will greet you with your name in the lobby of your hotel at 8:00 in the morning! We drove to the Panda Base for a free tour (this is the hometown of pandas). Please note that there is no tour guide, it takes about 3 hours! You go back to the parking lot and we drive to the Sichuan Cuisine Museum. Here, you can taste dozens of Chengdu's specialty snacks for lunch. After lunch, an English speaking guide will lead us to visit the museum and explain knowledge about Sichuan cuisine. Finally, we will learn to make three authentic Sichuan cuisine experiences. After the dishes are finished, we will have dinner today. At the end, we will receive a learning certificate as a commemoration! Our driver safely escorts you back to the hotel and has a perfect day!

You will be guided through visiting the different enclosures of Dujiangyan Panda Base, where you may not only see adult pandas, but also newly born baby pandas if luck enough. After our tour in the Panda Base, we will drive about 30 minutes to Dujiangyan City; Later, enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant and continue to visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation System honored as the 'Treasure of Sichuan'. It is the oldest and only surviving no-dam water conservancy project in the world, and it has been functioning for more than two thousand years. Explore this magnificent irrigation system with your guide to learn the history and its crucial role. Afterwards, drive back to downtown to conclude the full day sightseeing.
