Everglades Area Tours has been offering educational tours since the 90's. All our guides are formally trained, full-time Florida Master Naturalist and have years more experience than all others. While Everglades National Park is a wilderness and the wildlife is just that … wild., Our decades of experiences affords the best opportunity to locate, view and photograph wildlife. We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". Airboats are not allowed in the Park where we operate. Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Also the tour can be enjoyed by any bird lover from beginners to experts. The tour starts at 7:00 am (December to April) and 8:00 am (May to November).

Laughing Bird Caye is a National Park and World Heritage Site. It is a long and narrow island known for its abundance of marine life and corals. The name comes from the gulls that are among the many birds that Inhabit the north end of the caye. Laughing Bird Caye offers excellent snorkeling as would be expected at a national park. On the east side of the island coral mounds separated by sandy patches rise to about 5 feet from the surface. These mounds have a variety of coral types which are home to lobsters, barracuda, lizardfish, angel fish, parrot fish, spotted drums, southern rays and a myriad of reef fish. On the west side your guide will find lobster, barracuda, lizardfish, Nassau grouper, angel fish, furry sea cucumbers, conch and lots and lots of colourful juvenile reef fish.

Everglades National Park is unique on our planet. It is a wonderful, water-filled paradise that is best accessed by a quiet, slow-moving, shallow draft boat. One of the best loved residents of the Park are Bottle-Nosed Dolphins. Watching dolphin, in their natural habitat, interacting with each other, something that you will never forget. Our full-time, formally trained, Florida Master Naturalist guides will safely take you deep into the 10,000 Islands of the Everglades. While searching for dolphins, manatees and some of the 300 different species of birds that call the Park home, you will learn about the different Everglades ecosystem, its long history and rich culture. Blue Hole National Park covers over 500 acres of dense tropical rain forest and some of the birds we see are: White Hawk, White Neck Jacobin, Black Cheeked Woodpecker, Royal Flycatcher, Salty-Tail Trogon, Dot Winged, Antwren, White Necked Puff bird, Blue Ground Dove, Golden Hooded Tanager, Crimson Collared Tanager, Spot Breasted Wren and Wedge Billed Woodpecker.
