Watch a real Maiko, an apprentice Geisha, perform up close. With only about 40 Maikos left in Kyoto, seeing one is a rare and special experience. Kyoto is the only place where you can experience the authentic world of Geisha—don’t miss this chance! To begin the show, the Maiko will perform a traditional dance lasting around 10 minutes, the usual length of most Maiko performances. After 2 dances (each about 5 minutes), there will be time for a Q&A, photo-taking, and a chance to play a traditional Japanese game with her. *IMPORTANT*: In Geisha/Maiko culture, performances are intentionally short to preserve the art’s exclusivity and grace. Please note that the Maiko will not be performing continuously for one hour. Please note the following: 1. No outside food or drinks 2. Socks are required 3. Do not leave during the show 4.
