You might have the chance to meet Master Taku himself in the 11 o'clock class. Enjoy the art of recreating broken pottery into your one and only masterpiece. Take home with you the story you made in Japan. Kintsugi is a delicate technique; you are NOT allowed to bring any personal ceramic pieces to this course. You will use the plates prepared for beginners by the studio. In 2024, Master Taku is awarded with the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon, the honorable commendation given to individuals who have made significant achievements in the fields of science, art, invention, improvement, and creation this year. Not only his talents as an artist, but also the fact that he dedicates a portion of profit to the charity was the big reason for winning this award. We offer a fun and creative experience for children > 3 years. Children will learn how to handle materials; each child will be assisted in designing and creating his/her own work of art. For example, the top of a box, a coaster or a photo frame. Children will work with pre-cut tiles, but there is also a possibility to work with ceramic for children more than 10 years old. Adults work with ceramic. Children under 10 must be accompanied by one adult. ⚠️ You should take into account that the artwork produced by the end of the workshop will have to be grouted by staff. Usually, the artwork can be picked up later on in the afternoon or the next morning if the workshop has taken place in the afternoon. You will create a marvelous glass artwork with one of the most famous craftsmen of Venice: Massimiliano Caldarone. You are going to discover the secrets and techniques of glass-making art while you personally realize a unique item. A class with a celebrated Venetian craftsman who will teach you how to create a unique glass artwork, following the old Murano techniques. These procedures are known as lamp-work and it a typical venetian style to realize magnificent glass items. The master artisan will help you, step by step, during the whole experience to make you make your personal and inimitable glass masterpiece that, at the end, you will bring it at home as a special souvenir.

Channel the legendary artist and architect Antoni Gaudí during this fun, family-friendly mosiac workshop. Over the course of 2 hours, you will learn the mosiac technique "trencadis," which he invented and can be found all over Barcelona's main monuments. You can choose between glass or ceramic to create a unique masterpiece in Gaudís technique such as photo frame, top of a box, elefant and other decoration objects. We will get to know Oaxaca, culture, history, art and gastronomy. We take a tour with a professional team, we will visit 5 special places in Oaxaca. The first is the wonderful archaeological area of Monte Alban where we take a 2-hour hike with a certified guide. The second place to know is the house – workshop of a wood carving artisan or Alebrijes in San Martin Tilcajete. Third place is to eat at a local traditional food buffet restaurant. The fourth place is the house – workshop of a hip or waist loom craftsman in Santo Tomas Jalieza. The fifth and final place to visit is the house – workshop of a master black mud craftsman in San Bartolo Coyotepec.

Once you get there, you will feel as if you have crossed a portal to a magical world of alebrijes. These creatures that are carved out of wood are hand-painted and full of vibrant colors. They are the soul of Oaxacan handcrafts. After learning about the elaboration process of these fantastic figures and with the help of a master craftsman, you will be able to paint your own alebrije! You will be given a small figure, a paintbrush and paint. It is your moment to decorate your own chosen piece. Immerse yourself in the colors and let your imagination run free. The tour ends around 2:00 p.m. when we drop you off at your hotel or Airbnb. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty since paint can get splattered on you.

An invitation to an artistic time travel discovering the secrets of wood carving. The woodcarving workshop takes place in the gallery of Michael Arvanitis where he exhibits his works. The gallery is a traditional cave building in the picturesque village of Megalochori. In this class, Michalis Arvanitis will help you become familiar with how tools are used to give shape and form to wood and he will teach you how to carve.

The bamboo used for the experience is carefully selected by the craftsmen themselves from the local bamboo forests in Tottori. The bamboo is then dried for more than two years before being used for the experience. Near the bamboo lantern workshop is the area of Sekigane, famous for "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya", which is a tale of a princess from the moon who is discovered as a baby inside the stalk of a glowing bamboo plant. Have a special experience in a place associated with bamboo. The craftsman of the bamboo lantern workshop is such a great teacher that he is entrusted with decorating events in Kyoto, Nagoya, and other cities. Become an artist under a great teacher!

In this tour/activity we will learn more about Sarajevo's traditional crafts. One of them is of course the coppersmithing. We will also meet with our local artist, a coopersmith, and with his help make a small and unique souvenir for you to take home 🙂 Coopersmith is an old name for a craftsman, who designs or modifies (modifies) jewelry and small ornaments of silver or copper. This craft is, in fact, a kind of art since small ornaments are made where inventiveness, skill and precision are needed. Earlier, hand tools were used and the work was done mostly by hand. Contemporary technology for the processing of materials and decoration making has recently been used. The coppersmiths also use various types of precious stones in their work. The most common products of these handicrafts are jewelery, such as rings, brooches, necklaces and bracelets.

During this 4-h mosaic class, you will learn how to build a mosaic in the style of Antoni Gaudi, known as the "Trencadis" technique. Create an original piece of artwork to take back home with you as a souvenir. You will work with ceramic tiles and we offer several colours. Please take into consideration, that after you have finished the Workshop, MOSAICCOS has to finish your artwork with grouting. Usually the pick-up time is on the following day, it also may depend on whether you have taken the class in the morning or in the afternoon.
