I’m Paula and with my partner Jorge are professional tango dancers from Argentina living in Barcelona for over 20 years. We've been sharing our passion, first in Buenos Aires, now in Barcelona, for 30 years. We have our tango school in Barcelona and travel around the world sharing our dance. Located in the heart of Gothic, we offer Tango lessons & drinks in a fantastic terrace with great views of the Gothic Quarter. Instead of booking a way too expensive commercial show, in this tour you'll get to know the real Tango underground world of Buenos Aires! After an (optional) Tango class you will get to know an authentic "Milonga" (=a place where locals dance Tango). We will be "off the beaten track" and I will tell you everything about how to dance Tango, the social codes in the Milongas and how Tango has changed over time (nowadays there is even Queer Tango, electro Tango etc). Gonzalo and Magdalena are professional, seasoned tango dancers and teachers embedded with in the local scene. Influenced by the classical school, they are exponents of the Buenos Aires modern tango who recognize the legacy of the great masters.

The history of tango is linked to Medellin, the city where Carlos Gardel died and where the second most important tango festival in the world outside Argentina is held. We will understand this history by visiting the local airport and the Gardelian square. We will continue to downtown to go to the Salón Málaga and enjoy all the oral and musical tradition that this bar has. The first beer is on us. We will continue to one of the places of tango tradition or if you prefer to go to one of the traditional Argentinean parrillas. INCLUDES: Guide (bilingual English – Spanish), medical assistance, private transportation, hydration, Entrance to the Malaga lounge with 1 beer per person.
