MALI Voice is a tour aroud MALI Collections where you will find 3,000 years of art history of Peru, alongside with one of our guides. Besides, you will be able to visit the temporary exhibitions included in your admission ticket.

This is a unique experience in Lima, filled with art and traditional Amazonian culture. You will be taken to the district of Rímac, where the largest urban indigenous community in the city is located, mostly composed of people from the Shipibo-Konibo ethnicity. This community stands out for its artists and the promotion of their ancestral art. You will be our special guest, entering the home of one of the artists, learning about the meanings of the ancestral Kene, while painting your own canvas with the same natural dyes used in the Amazon.

In this private visit, you will learn about Peruvian art history with one of our Curators (an experience not offered at the ticket counter), and afterward, you will enjoy a glass of champagne in our exclusive Salon Prado, which is closed to the public. Additionally, you will have access to our department of conservation, another space that remains closed to the general public.

We will pick you up early in the morning at 6:00 at your accommodation, then we are going to drive north and get out of the city. First, what we are going to see (in winter time) is how life can grow almost anywhere, and in the middle of the desert and sandunes. Here in Lima we have a biosphere called Lomas that are green areas in the middle of the desert "Lomas de Lachay" is about 2.5 hours away from Lima and over there we are going to have a 2.5 hours hiking (average) over there we can see owl, hacks, foxes, wild doves, falcons, and a lot of endemic animals that only lives in that biosphere.

You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Lima Art Museum (MALI), one of the main museums of Peru, which promotes art and culture. It is located in the ¨Palacio de la Exposición¨ (Exhibition Palace) and home to more than fourteen thousand works; the most important collection of Peruvian art. You can visit its various showrooms, then have a coffee, eat a snack and go through the store to buy a beautiful souvenir (additional costs not included). Then you will go to the Water Circuit; a modern system of pools (certified as the world's largest by Guinness World Records) built in the Exhibition Park, which attract crowds throughout the year. The small historic center still preserves a Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical genesis present in the housing facades, two of the original towers of the wall still remain untouched, and of course, the Roman / Medieval bridge that today is a reference for all the pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago that here cross the Lima river towards the cathedral. One of the most beautiful cities in the north of Portugal is undoubtedly Viana do Castelo. This elegant city is characterized by its connection to Shipbuilding that dates back to the time of the maritime expansion in the 16th century, and the Typical Festive Costumes in honor of Nossa Senhora da Agonia with the predominant red and enormous ostentation of gold displayed on the chest. In Barcelos we will have on-site reinterpretation of the famous rooster legend. It is a small town that surprises, and has improved its best charming attractions.

Can’t wait to have fun in the outdoors ofLima? There is not best way to enjoy our deserts than sliding down on a sandboard and crossing the dune fields with a 4×4 vehicle. If you don’t have any previous experience, don’t even worry about it, your instructors would teach you from scratch. Your will experience the last preserved desert of Lima in Lomas de Ancon. You will start the tour through the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, two neighbourhoods full of history that have become exclusive urban areas due to their commercial, tourist and financial character. Visit El Olivar de San Isidro, an old colonial hacienda where olive trees were grown.
