Lighthouse Mainland

Hop on a ferry from Perth or Fremantle to Rottnest Island for a day of exploring the stunning island. Enjoy a 90-minute coach tour of the island. You'll learn from commentary by a knowledgeable guide and make stops at Wadjemup Lighthouse and the West End. In the afternoon enjoy free time to explore the island’s beautiful beaches, walking trails, car-free roads and historical sites at your leisure, before catching the ferry back to the mainland.

We have moved to a new location! We are now located at 820 Olowalu Village Rd, next to the Olowalu General Store on the way to Lahaina! We are the oldest butterfly farm in Hawaii and the only one that offers private tours of a butterfly farm in the State. We are a certified Monarch Waystation and strive to save the butterflies through propagation, research and education. We’re the only place in the Islands to see live Hawaiian butterflies in our walk in butterfly flight house. Unlike Mainland butterfly farms, all of our butterflies are home bred and hand raised on our organic farm. We do not purchase or ship in our butterflies from abroad, therefore all of our butterflies are endemic to Hawaii.

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse sits at the tip of a spectacular peninsula where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. Situated at the most south westerly point of Australia, on one of the world's three great capes, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia. Guided tours will take you to the top of this historic lighthouse, where you’ll learn fascinating stories about the lightkeepers, the region’s maritime heritage, and the tower’s unique craftsmanship. From the top, you can take in spectacular views of the cape and its rugged coastline. Visitors can also explore the Interpretive Centre, housed inside one of the original lightkeeper’s cottages, an immersive experience that celebrates the history and lives of the men, women and children who once lived at the tallest lighthouse in mainland Australia.  Passes to explore the accessible heritage site and Lightkeeper's Cottage are available for purchase on site.

Hop aboard our sturdy vessel for a one hour Wildlife Cruise, departing from Wellers Rock Wharf on the Otago Peninsula. You'll travel out through the Otago Harbour to the world's only mainland colony of royal albatross. Have your camera ready as these huge birds soar in from sea, flying past a historic lighthouse as they return to their hillside nests. The skipper will expertly maneuver the boat close to rocky outcrops for great views of the local fur seal population. A short way out to sea and you'll see other albatross and seabird species. Our cruises also frequently spot blue penguins, sea lions and occasionally dolphins! The crew will provide a full commentary during your cruise about the local history, scenery and wildlife spotted along the way. Don't be put off by cool & windy weather. These are often the best conditions for wildlife viewing. Especially when it comes to albatross, they love a brisk southerly wind. Binoculars and warm jackets are provided during your cruise.

Starting from Messina, drive for almost 50 minutes and reach Taormina and walk from Porta Catania – the Southern entrance to the town – towards Corso Umberto which is its main street. Here take the opportunity to discover the monuments, the wonderful squares with their views above Mt Etna and the coast and taste an authentic Sicilian cannoli or a delicious arancino. After two hours and 30 minutes in this unique location drive back towards Messina and admire the historical heritage of Sicily’s third-largest city visiting the monuments and the churches but also the natural beauties driving among the coast till Capo Peloro – the nearest point of the island to the mainland and also the best point of observation of the Strait of Messina. At the end of the tour, return to the departure point where the driver and the guide will say goodbye inviting you for a long second journey in Sicily.

After your ferry crossing passing Carbery’s 100 Isles, arrive at Cape Clear Island. Arriving at the north harbour on the Island, spend some free time exploring this Gaeltacht Island, learning about the island’s culture, the islander life, including old traditions and traditional farming. Discover the island’s ancient standing stones, Napoleonic Tower, Dún an Óir Castle , 12th century church and visit the memorial on the Island to the 1979 Fastnet Yacht Race Disaster. See the Fastnet Rock Lighthouse in the distance on one of the walking trials or enjoy lunch at one of the island’s bars and restaurants. After lunch re-board the ferry travelling to see the lighthouse. Catch a glimpse of the magnificent whales and dolphins en route! We circumnavigate ‘An Carraig Aonair` or the ‘Lonely Rock’ taking in its history and culture. Once we have circled the Rock twice, to get the perfect photo, we head for home enjoying the spectacular scenery until we reach our final port.

Bus across the beautiful Otago Peninsula and enjoy the sights whilst your local guide gives an informative commentary about the area. Then hop aboard our comfortable boat for an invigorating cruise out past the historic Taiaroa Head lighthouse. You'll spot rare Southern Ocean marine wildlife, including royal albatross, fur seals and more! The tour concludes with a relaxed cruise, back to Dunedin, along the Otago Harbour.

Set sail from Port Douglas for a day of snorkeling and relaxing on the Great Barrier Reef’s Low Isles. The sheltered white sands are surrounded by tropical waters filled with fish, turtles and coral for pristine off-beach snorkeling, just moments away from Low Isles . We are the only kayak tour company that is currently able to lead trips to Burrows Island. You will be exploring unique shorelines that few visitors to the islands are able to experience. Save time, and save money! The experience does not require the hassles of taking a ferry to San Juan Island. Anacortes, located on Fidalgo Island has two bridges connecting us to the mainland. Because you are able to drive directly to us your time on the water is maximized. Many tour companies on other islands include a lengthy shuttle ride as a part of their trip thereby reducing the actual time spent kayaking and encountering wildlife. Single kayaks are available for participants for an additional $25pp. Must be 18 years or older. (Must be requested in advance and is subject to availability.) After lunch, visit the Flinders Chase National Park, home of Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks and have a nice cup of coffee watching the kangaroos at sunset at Grassdale Conservation Park … this is what you can do and much more! During the tour will see a lot of wildlife including the elusive echidna. You will have an experienced tour guide all for your group (max 8 passengers) and with their experience you will be able to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. ***Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for cruise ship passengers arriving to the island because we will finish later than the last ship tender***

Join us for an invigorating wildlife cruise experience. By the time you get back to your ship you’ll know why Dunedin is the Nature Capital of New Zealand. The cruise will travel around beautiful wharves and boatsheds, then through the historic Quarantine Islands. You’ll see the Careys Bay fishing village and its motley collection of boats before continuing along the harbour. Enjoy a nice hot drink and biscuit for morning tea. As you arrive at the entrance to the Otago Harbour you’ll see the tidal Aramoana sandflats and the spectacular volcanic cliffs of Taiaroa Head. You’ll see the royal albatross breeding colony, the only mainland colony in the world. Beneath a picturesque lighthouse you’ll find a large population of fur seals, watch as they swim, play and sleep on rocky platforms close to the boat. A short way out to sea we often spot other species of albatross and seabirds. We sometimes see dolphins, sea lions and blue penguins. Don’t forget your camera!

As we cruise towards Klein Curacao, you'll see it's iconic pink lighthouse standing tall on the horizon and the inviting pristine pearl white beach stretching for miles.
