12 years of experience in Japanese calligraphy, qualified as a calligraphy instructor. Come and get an opportunity to enjoy Kanji drawing with me! You can experience Japanese culture by learning and drawing a Kanji on a T-shirt. Each kanji has a meaning that you are welcome to study. i also offer the possibility of choosing between a single class drawing Japanese on t-shirt, or to choose the drawing kanji on a lantern, or, on the Japanese traditional umbrellas, all are very attractive and fun experience for everyone. I offer something that is a unique experience. I am an English teacher for the Japanese people, so you will get all the instructions in English.

This workshop utilises only locally grown bamboo, to create unique souvenirs that can be customised with decorations of your choice.

The bamboo used for the experience is carefully selected by the craftsmen themselves from the local bamboo forests in Tottori. The bamboo is then dried for more than two years before being used for the experience. Near the bamboo lantern workshop is the area of Sekigane, famous for "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya", which is a tale of a princess from the moon who is discovered as a baby inside the stalk of a glowing bamboo plant. Have a special experience in a place associated with bamboo. The craftsman of the bamboo lantern workshop is such a great teacher that he is entrusted with decorating events in Kyoto, Nagoya, and other cities. Become an artist under a great teacher!

Waiting for you ❤️ You can choose to join 1 of 3 classes: – 1st grade: Learn to make lanterns (without painting) -Grade 2: Learn to paint (not make lanterns): you can paint lanterns or scarves, or on canvas bags, or on paper.. if you don't know how to paint we will teach you how to paint, you will practice on paper first with the guidance of your teacher, then you will draw lanterns. Grade 3: Learn combos: Make and paint lanterns. All classes have instructors. In addition, my shop also has beautiful souvenirs and decorations. You can buy it as a gift.

Our Lanterns are made of silk and bamboo and come in many shapes such as lotus, diamond, sunrise, sunset. We provide the bamboo that forms the base of your frame; you do the rest. Your instructor will show you how to make your lantern from the first to the last step and how to make your own Hoi An lantern.
