Our adventure begins in Alghero, ascending into a more secluded and uninhabited inland area. Along the way, we'll share the contrasts between Alghero and the rest of the island as you take in the breathtaking views of the Gulf of Alghero. We will pause to discuss the native plants of the Mediterranean scrub and their traditional uses. Leaving the main road, we'll venture onto a secondary path traditionally used by local shepherds to navigate between their lands. This journey will lead us to a unique panoramic viewpoint offering a stunning vista of the entire Gulf of Alghero—a sight not to be missed! As we continue, we’ll pass through cork oak forests where you'll learn about cork production. Our next stop is an archaeological park, where you'll dive into the history and culture of the Nuragic civilization. The journey takes us back along the coast, providing an opportunity to spot and admire griffon vultures, the majestic lords of the wind. Before heading back, we'll make a final stop at a nearby beach to enjoy a typical Sardinian aperitif featuring local delicacies.

Much of the Algarve’s charm resides in its ability to provide top class tourist facilities and yet retain its own identity, easily visible in the traditional villages and activities of the area. The Porches Pottery workshop is one of the best representatives of this art and many of the traditional methods of production are still used here today. You can see the pottery being made and painted by hand by the artisans. The fishing village of Benagil is perched above the Atlantic and a tiny but picturesque beach, the sound of the Atlantic the uninterrupted sound track to the village’s activities. Heading towards the resort of Carvoeiro we visit Algar Seco where you can see the amazing caves and grottoes carved from the coastline over the centuries. Enjoy a stroll through the village of Ferragudo, along the cobbled streets and down to the small harbor. Our last stop is in a winery where you can enjoy a guided tour and taste some of the wines produced in this region.

Etna Alcantara tour is the experience to discover two totally different types of lava landscapes. The first part of the day will take you to the northern side of Mt. Etna at 6500 ft above sea level. Here you will learn about the stages that led to the origin of Mt. Etna and the different types of volcanic activities all hiking up to the edge of some of the extinct craters formed by ancient eruptions. In the second part of the Etna Alcantara tour, you will visit the Alcantara Valley where the Alcantara River has shaped the famous basaltic lava canyon formed by prehistoric lava flows of Mount Etna. Here you will spend some times by the River, having the possibility to go in the cold water, admiring outstanding geological formations. Don't forget to bring with you: sunscreen, hat, hiking shoes. Water shoes, swimsuits and towels will be useful if you plan to go in the water (in the summertime).
