Join us for a drive around the Lahemaa National Park for a fun day trip in a small group. You'll discover that the thick forests and the picturesque coastline of the Lahemaa National Park hold many curious secrets, from hidden waterfalls to manor houses. We will visit the romantic captains' village of Käsmu or/and Altja, an extraordinary bog landscape with many lakes and the manor houses of Vihula or/and Sagadi. Our young and entertaining guides take you to the places you would never stumble across on your own and share personal stories about Estonia from the perspective of the local youth. Tours are in small groups (up to 8 people) taken around in a minivan or a car.

Lahemaa National Park is a place with breathtaking landscapes and unspoilt nature. You can find beautiful peninsulas and bays, forests and beaches, waterfalls and bogs seasoned with rich cultural history. This day trip is perfect for spending a day out of Tallinn. The first stop on the way is Jägala waterfall, after which the tour will visit Sagadi or Palmse Manor depending on the season, where you can learn about the legacy of German land-owners living in the Estonian countryside for centuries. You will then visit Altja or Käsmu Village depending on the season, which are unique as they represents the architecture of our fishing villages as they were before the estblishment of coastal border zone during the Soviet times. Last thing on the tour is picturesque walk in Viru bog. You will go on the boardwalk leading to observation tower where you can admire how the unique vegetation is contrasting the clear bog pools. The hike in the National Park can be completed on a boardwalk through the most famous and picturesque Viru bog landscape. Located south of the national park, the large forested Kõrvemaa area is home to many wild animals and forest types. Here you can wander across the wooden trails, go walking on sandy roads in the wilderness, see many different lakes and hear the local stories. The hike will take up to 3 hours and require moderate physical preparation.

Enjoy the view from the watchtower and walk back for the vehicle. – 20 min drive to the Beaver trail to learn about these smart animals and see their dams built across the river current. – Stop for lunch (not incl in the price) either in the local tavern or just get the snacks from the supermarket and enjoy a picnic in one of the specially equipped places. Even grill is possible! – Arrive to Juminda peninsula and explore the Majakivi (Stone-house) nature trail. This track is very diverse, with the dry and wet forest parts, true deep bog, sand dune, watch tower, whole fields of the smaller glacial boulders and of course, the Majakivi itself – a giant boulder of 930 cubic meters, on of 3 biggest boulders in Estonia.
