Join us for a drive around the Lahemaa National Park for a fun day trip in a small group. You'll discover that the thick forests and the picturesque coastline of the Lahemaa National Park hold many curious secrets, from hidden waterfalls to manor houses. We will visit the romantic captains' village of Käsmu or/and Altja, an extraordinary bog landscape with many lakes and the manor houses of Vihula or/and Sagadi. Day Trip to Lahemaa National Park


Lahemaa National Park is a place with breathtaking landscapes and unspoilt nature. You can find beautiful peninsulas and bays, forests and beaches, waterfalls and bogs seasoned with rich cultural history. This day trip is perfect for spending a day out of Tallinn. The first stop on the way is Jägala waterfall, after which the tour will visit Sagadi or Palmse Manor depending on the season, where you can learn about the legacy of German land-owners living in the Estonian countryside for centuries. You will then visit Altja or Käsmu Village depending on the season, which are unique as they represents the architecture of our fishing villages as they were before the estblishment of coastal border zone during the Soviet times. Last thing on the tour is picturesque walk in Viru bog. You will go on the boardwalk leading to observation tower where you can admire how the unique vegetation is contrasting the clear bog pools. Even grill is possible! – Arrive to Juminda peninsula and explore the Majakivi (Stone-house) nature trail. This track is very diverse, with the dry and wet forest parts, true deep bog, sand dune, watch tower, whole fields of the smaller glacial boulders and of course, the Majakivi itself – a giant boulder of 930 cubic meters, on of 3 biggest boulders in Estonia.
