This is a great ride through the beautiful scenery around Chiang Mai to the Ping River. We cycle mostly in flat land on paved roads. Focus is on the cycling experience on our E-bikes and seeing interesting places on our way like rice fields and orchards, beautifull views, Ping River and some villages we cross. On our adventure we also pass/visit Wat Ton Kwen, Wat Chang Nam archeological site, Wat Wang Sing Kham, Wat Chaiya Sathan.

During this adventure you discover the beautiful, hilly scenery around Chiang Mai and you cycle mainly on paved roads. Join us and explore Thailand’s highest peak – Doi Inthanon National Park. The best time to visit is during December to February for cool climate and you will get a chance to see the blossom of Siamese sakura flowers all over the area. You will follow the nature trails in the park providing different views of the diversity of plants, reforestation, hilltribe agriculture, the origin of caves and bird watching. It will take approximately 2 hours for the trekking together with our local guide. Visit the sacred Wat Phra That Doi Suthep and witness breathtaking views of the city atop the mountain. Immerse Thai culture at the Hmong village. Visit one of the most sacred temples, the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (Doi Suthep temple), seated atop a mountain giving you breathtaking views of the entire Chiang Mai. It was established in 1383 under the reign of King Keu Naone and has a very mystical birth story. A visiting Sukhothai monk had told the Lanna king to create a temple by using the twin of the miraculous Buddha relic. This relic was placed on a white elephant, which wandered the mountain until it died in the very spot where the temple sits. This was interpreted as the “chosen location”. The temple can be reached by a long, and quite strenuous 306 step staircase, which was intended as an act of meditation. For those who aren’t that fit, there is a tram that will take you to the temple.

The Bridge on the River Kwai is a 1957 British-American epic war film directed by David Lean and based on the novel Le Pont de la Rivière Kwaï (1952) by Pierre Boulle. The film uses the historical setting of the construction of the Burma Railway in 1942–1943. The cast included William Holden, Jack Hawkins, Alec Guinness, and Sessue Hayakawa.

A two day excursion, staying overnight at the River Kwai Resotel, which will incorporate time spent at The Bridge over the River Kwai, visting the POW Cemetary of Kanchanaburi, riding the train over part of the 'Death Railway' and going to Hellfire Pass and more. (01 Jan-30 Jun 2018 Hellfire Pass Interpretative Centre (the museum) will be closed for renovations, however, visits will still go ahead to the actual location to see Hellfire Pass. Then a visit will be made to Sir Weary Dunlop’s Park at the nearby Home Phutoey River Kwai Resort. Due to its similar historical thread it is believed that this is a suitable alternative to the museum while it is closed.)
