After retiring from banking, I discovered the arts of calligraphy and seal carving, which gradually transformed my life. My work has been recognized with prestigious awards at the Seoul Women's Craft Exhibition and the KT Corporate Competition. For the past 18 years, I've been teaching calligraphy at a women's professional education institute supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Since January 2018, I've had the privilege of introducing Hangul and Korean traditional culture to over 3,000 international visitors at my studio in Insadong. I also conduct traditional culture workshops for international corporations. I published "The Strength of Calligraphy" in 2018 and "Hello World!" in 2024. This book is a collection of memories and experiences from seven years of becoming with wonderful guests from a stranger to a closer. ***Please be advised that only those with reservations can attend the workshop.***


Korean Kimchi making day experience


cooKorean cooking class offers new interests in Korean food and culture. Learn to cook authentic Korean Kimchi and have a ‘take-home’ experience that will stay with you forever. You meet Jomin at exit number 2 of Mangwon metro station ( line number 6 ) at 10:00 or 18:00. On the way to Jomin’s cooking studio, you will visit the local Mangwon market where you experience the Korean food culture through your own eyes. After short briefing of process of cooking class, you will learn to cook the most beloved 4 different Kimchi. You can enjoy your own cooking when you finish, and take the leftovers home.

My international background gave me to have a good sense of understanding different culture. No matter which language you speak, it is no problem communicating in the class. Korean Cooking Class 'Bapsang' in Busan is the place you will experience how to cook the delicious Korean food and taste the food you cooked on your own small dining table (Traditional dining table: soban or bapsang). It is not only the place you only cook, but also you will learn much more about Korean culture. Bapsang is located in Haeundae, Busan which is the most beautiful beach in Korea. Hi, everyone It is an korean & english language exchange meeting where foreigners and koreans use conversation theme cards to pick cards with members, talk about conversation topics in English, and change seats every 40 minutes to talk to new people in english. we are an international party all other countries are welcome! make korean friends and learn korean culture!
