This self-guided ride begins with a prompt shuttle bus to Arrowtown, where you’ll be fitted with a bike and given all the details for your ride. The ride follows the stunning Arrow River Trail, crossing the river via a few spectacular bridges. You'll then join the Twin Rivers Trail, which winds alongside the Kawarau and Shotover rivers, with some challenging climbs along the way. The route finishes at Around The Basin's shop in central Queenstown (3 Searle Lane). With 36 km of hilly terrain, this ride will take around 3.5 to 4 hours. We recommend an electric bike to make the journey more comfortable and enjoyable, helping you tackle the climbs with ease while you take in the beautiful scenery. In the afternoon, enjoy cycling through the Gibbston Wine Region, where you can stop at as many cellar doors as you like. The full ride covers around 25 km (16 miles) of undulating, gravel trail. The shuttle will pick you up at the designated time given in the briefing on the day from your chosen winery in Gibbston Valley. There, you'll be fitted with a bike and given all the details for your ride. The ride starts by following the spectacular Arrow River Bridges Trail to the historic Kawarau Bungy Bridge (approx. 13 km). From there, the trail continues 3km into the Gibbston Valley, where you will be collected at Gibbston Valley Winery, departing in the scheduled bus back to Queenstown and the time provided in the briefing on the day.
