Humahuaca Gives

Tilcara stands out for its Pucará (high fortress) whose ruins have been partially destroyed. Uquía shows its chapel, built in the 17th century, worked in laminated gold, Humahuaca gives its name to the Quebrada and is its largest population, with cobbled streets and iron lampposts on the corners, it is also the highest point of the route, 2,940 meters above sea level. We leave the province of Salta to enter the neighboring province of Jujuy, visiting the beautiful Quebrada de Humahuaca.
