Amsterdam National Holocaust Museum and Memorial Entry Ticket

The National Holocaust Museum tells the story of the Nazi persecution and murder of the Jews of the Netherlands. Before the Second World War, Jews and non-Jews lived side by side. They had the same rights. But during the war, the Nazis and their collaborators killed around six million Jews in Europe. That was the Holocaust or Shoah. This is the first and only museum to relate the history of the persecution of the Jews of the entire Netherlands. Including the day-to-day life of Jews on the eve of the Second World War, the liberation as Jews experienced it, and how the Holocaust has been treated in our national culture of remembrance: all this is examined in the museum.

The Auschwitz-Birkenau complex embodies the grim objective of the Holocaust – gathering and exterminating masses of people in inhuman ways and conditions. Initially planned to serve primarily as a concentration camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau was transformed into a factory of death. The cold and ruthless industrial design of this genocide camp murdered around 1,5 million people. Every year, countless visitors from across the entire world come to Auschwitz to commemorate these victims and never forget what took place there. For those doing it for the first time, a guide-assisted trip is the best choice. No amount of reading about it can compare to seeing the gas chambers and crematoria with your own eyes. Visit of Salaspils Memorial Ensemble

The Salaspils Memorial Ensemble was created in the place where National Socialistic Germany had a police prison and labour correctional camp (from 1941 to 1945). This beautiful memorial site was open in 1967 (Soviet days) as the Soviet Union politics were concentrating on hiding the bad moves of J.Stalin and instead wanted to show to the world the bad stuff done by Nazis. The memorial creates a symbol of the border between life and death with a 100 metre-long concrete wall, on which is written – “Beyond these gates the land groans”. There are also seven concrete sculptures: “Mother”, “The Unbroken”, “The humuliated”, “Protest”, “Red Front”, “Solidarity”,“The Oath”. A beautiful addition to the memorial – indoors exhibition open for visitors to learn from written materials, photos and also video materials where you'll see older people sharing their memories about how they managed to escape or skip the camp. PLEASE NOTE – GROUP TOUR OPERATES ONLY IF THERE ARE AT LEAST 3 PASSENGERS.
