You’ll hike approximately 16 kilometers through dramatic landscapes, towering cliffs, ancient forests, and the famous narrow passage known as the “Iron Gates.” Along the way, you might spot the rare Cretan wild goat (Kri-Kri) and enjoy the rich, wild beauty of Crete's national park. The hike typically takes between 5 to 7 hours, depending on your pace, and ends at the peaceful seaside village of Agia Roumeli. Here, you’ll have free time to relax, enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear Libyan Sea, and have lunch at one of the charming seaside tavernas. After recharging by the sea, we board the ferry-boat to Sougia, cruising along Crete’s rugged southern coastline. At Sougia, our bus will be waiting to comfortably drive you back to Chania after a day full of adventure and natural beauty.

The mighty Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK at 1,345 meters / 4,413 feet. At the summit, you earn phenomenal views of the Lochaber landscape. After the hike, we'll head to one of the pubs in the glen for a celebratory pint or dram. A private hike allows you to tailor the day to your liking. Early in the morning, you will be picked up from designated areas around Chania via a luxurious bus and reach the starting point of your tour in Omalos Plateau around 7am. The panoramic view of the gorge from the plateau is a photophile's delight, so after short stop for pictures, you will begin descending the 600 wooden steps that will take you inside the Samaria gorge. There will always be a hiking escort to ensure everyone's safety and provide assistance if needed. The hike will conclude at Agia Roumeli, a beach at the end of the gorge, At around 17:00 you will board a boat to the picturesque village of Sougia, where you will start your trip back to the place where you were picked up from. It is truly unique to find virgin forest 20 min from a capital city centre, the views are beautiful and the story will let you in on how Swedish people enjoy nature all year around, and how wood burned sauna is a part of our culture. If you are up for it I will also share what I have learned about Sweden and Swedish culture, politics and history, growing up here, and if it interests you I will also share my personal experience of growing up in one of the safest and most equal countries in the world. as I have traveled the world my self, I have learned what is unique, but also how alike we all are. So as I guide you through a fun, interesting and heartwarming forest walk and sauna session, there might even be some deep conversations about life, if the mood is there! Nature is where I personally find peace and energy at the same time, and I hope to be able to share that with you too! (only groups with minimum one female guest)
