The Diamond Head Hike with a duration of 3 hours (Round-trip with pick up and drop off from your Waikiki hotel) enjoy the breathtaking views of Waikiki & Honolulu. Located along the southeast coast of Oahu, Diamond Head Trail is a 1.6 miles (Round-trip) hike and a must-do for all visitors! Start your day by waking up early and hiking up our famous national landmark called Diamond Head. The Diamond Head Crater trail which is 1.5 miles is the most popular trail on Oahu. As of 2022, Reservations are required to enter Diamond Head. We will get the reservation and entry for you so you do not need to worry about it. We will make your Diamond Head trip free of hassle as well as we have water and flashlights available as well. During the months from November to March, you will be able to see the sunrise at Diamond Head. We will be hiking up Lions Head, Cape Town's most Instragram'able hike. We plan to either catch the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean or sunrise from the Hottentots Holland mountains. We enjoy some amazing photo opportunities before our descent. During a sunset hike, we descend in the dark using our flashlights (provided). During a sunrise hike, we may hike the first part in the dark using our flashlights (provided). While the hike is regarded as easier than Table Mountain, it still involves steep rocky and narrow terrain at certain points from about half up way and a section where the use of steel handles and chains need to be used to get up 2 pitches of about 3 meters each (only up and not down). Quite adventurous indeed. This hike has been an age old tradition for locals especially during the full moon and on clear/windless nights/mornings where the lights of the city below dazzle and the moon and stars show off its beauty in the night sky.

The early shuttle from Waikiki means you'll beat the crowds and enjoy a peaceful hike to the summit of Diamond Head. You also get a head start on your hike before it gets too hot.

The trail going up Lion’s head is a screw top trail you’ll be circling the mountain getting to the top. At one point the path gives way to rough ground you have to step up using your hands to scramble over rocks. You will then continue steeply upwards to the first ladder, before traversing along a shelf with a chain handrail. Next, you will reach a fork, where you will have the choices to either veer left to circumnavigate two rock pitches or to turn right and climb the rock pitches. If you are not into vertical rock steps continue left, past some huge pine trees to gain the crest of the southeast ridge. At the summit of Lion's Head one has a 360 degree view it is one of the three iconic peaks that frame the city of Cape Town. It has Table Mountain as its backdrop and it is situated in the smallest and richest floral kingdoms in the world. Then little by little, the city lights will turn on or off offering a new sight. You will be provided with a headlamp when needed. Small group.

The views from Lion's Head are absolutely spectacular. The route takes us on a full lap of the mountain overlooking Cape Town and the surrounding mountains and beaches.
